VIDEO: WWE press conference with Lesnar, Velasquez, Strowman, Fury

A “major announcement” will be made at a WWE media event in Las Vegas, Nevada this afternoon:

It appears that Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez and Braun Strowman vs. Tyson Fury will be announced for Crown Jewel. Lesnar, Velasquez, Strowman, Fury, Paul Heyman, Rey Mysterio, and Paul “Triple H” Levesque are schedule to be at the press conference, which is taking place at the T-Mobile Arena.

Lesnar won the WWE Championship on last week’s SmackDown on FOX premiere. After the match, Velasquez made his WWE debut and attacked Lesnar. In storyline, the attack was revenge for Lesnar laying out Mysterio and Dominik on Raw.

Fury appeared at SmackDown’s FOX premiere and got into a confrontation with Strowman. On this week’s Raw, a pull-apart brawl between the two closed the episode.

Crown Jewel is taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Thursday, October 31. It will be the fourth event in WWE’s 10-year deal with the Saudi General Sports Authority, which began with the Greatest Royal Rumble in April 2018.
