VIDEO: NBA player Enes Kanter wins and loses WWE 24/7 title

NBA player and professional wrestling fan Enes Kanter both won and lost the 24/7 Championship prior to tonight’s episode of Raw at Madison Square Garden.
Before Raw went on the air, WWE filmed an angle where Kanter was going to be interviewed in the ring by Charly Caruso. He was interrupted by R-Truth as the interview started. Kanter ended up knocking down R-Truth and pinning him to win the title.
Kanter then revealed that he was wearing his Boston Celtics jersey. R-Truth rolled up Kanter to win the title back.
Kanter signed with the Celtics this offseason. In 2017, he was traded to the New York Knicks and played for the team until being waived this February.
Kanter is the second non-wrestler to hold the 24/7 title. FOX Sports host Rob Stone also briefly had a 24/7 title reign, winning it from R-Truth and immediately dropping it to Elias last month.

WWE also posted video of Kanter talking about the segment and being told to stay away from the 24/7 title by Drake Maverick:
