Undisputed WWE Championship match official for Bash in Berlin

Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE title on Saturday, August 31 at Bash in Berlin.
Rhodes and general manager Nick Aldis nominated Kevin Owens as the next title challenger during Friday’s SmackDown after Owens came to Rhodes’ aid in an angle against Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline on the show.
Owens was reluctant to accept the title bout insisting that he had not earned it, but Rhodes and Aldis were adamant about Owens getting the shot. Aldis eventually made the title match official in a backstage segment with Owens and Rhodes.
Rhodes defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Owens is the second bout official for Bash in Berlin set for Saturday, August 31. Already announced, new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther will defend his title against Randy Orton at the event in Germany.
The show will stream beginning at 1 p.m. Eastern time on Peacock/WWE Network.
