Triple H: WWE is ‘open for business’ on future event locations

Triple H says “everything is on the table” in terms of where future WrestleManias could be held.

WWE’s Chief Content Officer took part in an interview on Spaces today and was asked about the expected host cities for both WM41 and WM42.

Levesque said:

Everybody is always excited to know where WrestleMania is going to be. WrestleMania 41 announcement is coming very, very soon, I promise that, very, very soon. As far as the following year, we shall see.

In Friday’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, our own Dave Meltzer noted that Las Vegas is the frontrunner to land the event next year. Minneapolis has also submitted a bid, and at one point, was considered a “finalist” to host the show.

London mayor Sadiq Khan recently promised voters that if he’s re-elected he’ll work to “bring WrestleMania, Superbowl and the NBA to London, and put together another bid for the 2040 Olympics.” Levesque responded to Khan, writing “We should talk.”

Levesque addressed the possibility of WrestleMania 42 taking place in London during today’s interview, saying:

I think everything is on the table for where it goes. You saw the mayor of London the other day put out a statement about WrestleMania. I said, ‘We should talk,’ and we should, as should the mayor or the leaders of every other place around this globe. If they want WWE, come talk to us, we’re open for business, we’d love to be there. Wherever our fans are going to be the loudest and the craziest and the most into what we do, it would be an honor to go there and perform for them.

Meltzer wrote on Friday that it’s not a lock that Mania goes to Las Vegas next year but is currently the frontrunner.

Meltzer wrote:

Regarding rumors of WrestleMania for 5/3 and 5/4 in Las Vegas, from what we are told it’s not locked in but it is being talked about as a possibility. Basically it’s working out the deal with the city which is what has delayed the announcement. Minneapolis submitted a bid as well. Undertaker on his podcast stated it would be in Las Vegas next year as far as he had heard and at press time it’s the frontrunner.
