Tommaso Ciampa officially joins main roster on WWE Raw

Tommaso Ciampa is officially part of the Raw roster.

On tonight’s show, Kevin Patrick introduced Ciampa as the newest member of the brand’s roster. However, Ezekiel interrupted and introduced himself to Ciampa, saying he was Elias’ younger brother. Kevin Owens cut Ezekiel off and insisted it was Elias. Ciampa backed up Ezekiel, which made Owens mad.

It was reported earlier today by PWInsider that Ciampa would be called up to Raw on the main roster. During WrestleMania weekend, he wrestled at NXT Stand & Deliver, losing to Tony D’Angelo. After the match, Triple H came out and embraced Ciampa as part of his farewell.

Ciampa had been part of NXT since 2015, winning the NXT Championship on two occasions and the NXT Tag Team Championship once with Johnny Gargano.

In recent weeks, Ciampa had made appearances on the main roster, mostly revolving around his feud with Dolph Ziggler that originated in NXT. On the Friday prior to WrestleMania weekend, he competed in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, which was won by Madcap Moss.
