Title change at WWE SmackDown TV tapings

New Tag Team Champions were crowned at today’s SmackDown tapings in Manchester, England.
The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Big E) defeated The Revival to win the SmackDown Tag Team titles. The episode will air on FOX tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
The Tag Team title match was originally announced for last week’s SmackDown, but it didn’t happen due to WWE’s travel delays getting out of Saudi Arabia.
New Day’s title win sets up that they’ll be replacing The Revival at Survivor Series. It will be New Day vs. Raw Tag Team Champions The Viking Raiders vs. NXT Tag Team Champions The Undisputed Era (Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish) in a non-title match.
New Day’s Xavier Woods is out of action after suffering a torn Achilles at a house show in Sydney, Australia last month.
Tonight’s SmackDown and Monday’s Raw are both being taped at the Manchester Arena today. SmackDown will also feature Roman Reigns vs. Baron Corbin, Sasha Banks vs. Nikki Cross, and an appearance by Tyson Fury.
