The Rock to appear on WWE SmackDown next week

The Rock’s return to WWE television is just one week away.

WWE has announced that The Rock will appear live on the Friday, March 1 episode of SmackDown from Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. It’s the post-Elimination Chamber edition of the show.

Last week, the new heel version of The Rock was fully on display when he appeared on SmackDown and officially joined The Bloodline. The Rock vowed to do everything in his power to make sure that Cody Rhodes loses to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. The Rock called himself and Reigns the most dominant duo in sports and entertainment.

WWE looks to be building a tag team match with Rhodes & Seth Rollins facing The Rock & Reigns at night one of WrestleMania 40, but that has not been confirmed yet.

Rhodes and Rollins are set to appear on the Grayson Waller Effect at Elimination Chamber this Saturday (February 24). WWE uploaded a video this week with The Rock warning Rhodes and Rollins that they better not talk trash about him during the segment:

WrestleMania 40 is taking place from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7. If Rhodes & Rollins vs. The Rock & Reigns is made official, it will be The Rock’s first time wrestling a real match since 2013.
