The Rock blasts ‘Cody crybabies’ ahead of WWE WrestleMania 40 press event

The Rock had a message for some of Cody Rhodes’ fans on Thursday.
Ahead of today’s press conference in Las Vegas, Rock appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and addressed the drama surrounding the WrestleMania 40 main event. During the interview, he referred to some of Rhodes’ fans as “Cody crybabies.”
The Rock said:
I’ve known Cody for a long time, he’s a buddy of mine, The American Dream Dusty Rhodes and my old man Rocky Johnson, they were boys, they tag teamed together down in Florida. We used to go down to the Rhodes house a lot when I was growing up. So, we’re tight in that way.
I love Cody, I love his passionate fans. Then there’s the other passionate fans of Cody and they’re called the uh ….what? Oh Cody crybabies, yeah, that’s what they’re called.
it was the Cody crybabies. These are grown ass men. ‘Oh, Cody has to finish his story!’
The Rock continued:
At the end of the day, look, you’ve got the Cody crybabies, and you have the Cody fans, and you have Cody himself, and there’s a clear distinction between the three.
But The Rock says this, those Cody crybabies, the one’s for every 10 tweets they are shoving a chicken McNugget in their mouth, for every 20 tweets they are shoving two McNuggets up their a–, The Rock says this, all you got to do is sit back, know your role, shut your mouth, and enjoy the ride that The Rock is going to take your candy a–es on. So hashtag that, hashtag shut your b–ch a–es up, hashtag Cody crybabies.

Later in the conversation, Rock addressed his daughter, NXT’s Ava, receiving death threats in the wake of last Friday’s SmackDown.
“can ya’ll just leave me out of this ffs i’m busy running a SHOW,” Ava wrote on X, later adding, “death threats over a situation i have nothing to do with … bffr.” She would later delete her X account.
Rock said:
(Ava’s) also gotten death threats. It’s crazy. Come on guys, we’re all in this thing (together).
And by the way, what happens in the ring and in these storylines don’t forget that, again inside baseball, outside of the ring we all talk, we all figure this thing out, we’re all working together.
Nick Khan and Brian Gewirtz were shown watching Rock’s appearance on the show as well. Rock referenced the backlash against Gewirtz as well by referring to him as “the most evil writer.”
“He’s evil, there he is” Rock said as he was pointing out Gewirtz.
