Tegan Nox returns to WWE on SmackDown

Tegan Nox made her return to WWE on Friday’s SmackDown.

Bayley, who was with Dakota Kai and IYO SKY, ran down the SmackDown women’s roster. Liv Morgan came out and immediately went after the three. Morgan was being beaten down when Nox’s music hit as she entered the ring. The numbers game initially proved to be in Damage CTRL’s favor, but they soon cleared the ring once Morgan entered the ring with a kendo stick.

This marks Nox’s return to the company after being released in November of 2021 during a series of cuts initiated by Vince McMahon. She was called to the main roster earlier that year, teaming with Shotzi. Nox had been traded to Raw as part of the 2021 WWE Draft, but never appeared on the show prior to her release.

Nox was signed by WWE in 2017, originally expected to compete in that year’s Mae Young Classic. However, she was unable to due to a torn ACL. She competed in the 2018 tournament, but again spent a year out of action with another knee injury that took place during the tournament. She then suffered a third knee injury in 2020. She briefly returned to NXT in in the summer of 2021 before being called up to the main roster.
