Tag team match added to next week’s WWE SmackDown
A tag team match featuring the LWO and The Street Profits has been added to the card for the Friday, September 22 WWE SmackDown.
As revealed during this week’s show, United States Champion Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar of the LWO will face Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of The Street Profits on next Friday’s SmackDown.
The tag match follows up on an in-ring promo segment from this week’s episode where Mysterio agreed to defend his US title against Escobar at a later date, then Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits interrupted.
Lashley mocked the LWO, then Ford and Dawkins mocked Mysterio & Escobar before The Street Profits made quick work in defeating Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro of the LWO in a tag bout.
A WWE Women’s Championship match is already set for next week, with IYO SKY defending her title against Asuka. Asuka scored a victory over Bayley on Friday’s SmackDown ahead of her title challenge.
