SmackDown Tag Team Champion The Miz out of WWE WrestleMania 36

When WrestleMania 36 was filmed this week, The Miz wasn’t in action.
After first reporting The Miz was sick this week, Dave Meltzer has confirmed that one half of the SmackDown tag team champions didn’t wrestle at WWE’s tapings for WrestleMania because of it.
The news of him being out of his scheduled match was first reported by PWinsider.
Miz & John Morrison were to defend their titles against either The New Day or The Usos at WrestleMania. How WWE handled the match with Miz not working the show hasn’t been revealed and Meltzer didn’t know if the match was off completely.
The New Day facing The Usos to determine which team will challenge for the titles at WrestleMania has been announced for tonight’s SmackDown and is still being advertised by WWE.
Miz & Morrison have appeared at the Performance Center for SmackDown each of the past two weeks. They did promo segments on both shows and faced Heavy Machinery in a non-title match last week, with Miz & Morrison winning by disqualification when Otis snapped after being taunted by Dolph Ziggler.
On last night’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said Roman Reigns not wrestling at WrestleMania had to do in some form with Miz being sick and The Usos not being happy about it.
WrestleMania 36 is airing on the WWE Network on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5.
