Sheamus signs contract extension with WWE

Sheamus and WWE have reached an agreement to keep the 46-year-old in the company.
It was announced on today’s episode of The Pat McAfee Show that Sheamus has signed a contract extension, although the length of the deal has not been disclosed.
“We are incredibly lucky to announce that Mr. Banger After Banger himself, Sheamus, the big fella, has officially signed an extension with the WWE,” McAfee said on the show.
Sheamus returned to WWE in April after missing eight months due to a shoulder injury. At one point, Sheamus believed he might not be able to return to the ring.
“The road back to the ring is slow, rough and unimaginally painful. 2 months ago i thought i was hanging up my boots for good but a lot of doctors, trainers and physios helped get me cleared to do what i love.. fight,” he wrote on X.
McAfee also commented on Sheamus’ return from injury:
“For him to re-sign this again and have this much success for this long, obviously his work ethic is through the roof, the way he gets along with people is, obviously, immensely important but his drive, from where he came from to where he is now, we’re proud of Sheamus. And we also learned that he was never painting his skin white, he was actually that pale, which none of us could have expected.”
Sheamus has been with WWE since making his FCW debut in October 2007. He debuted on the main roster in 2009 and defeated John Cena later that year at WWE TLC to win the WWE Championship. He is a three-time WWE champion, one-time World Champion and was voted “Most Improved” in the 2010 Wrestling Observer Newsletter Awards.
