Seth Rollins says he had ‘a few weeks notice’ prior to WWE Raw return

Seth Rollins talks about his return.

After taking time off following WrestleMania 40, Rollins appeared on last week’s Raw and quickly received a World Heavyweight Championship match against Damian Priest at Money in the Bank next weekend. Rollins told ComicBook Nation that he had a few weeks notice before making his return.

“A little fluctuation, yeah, I had a few weeks notice,” he said. “We kind of looked at the timeline of the injury, and the story and where I fell back into place, you never know how things are going to go. But the top of the card here on Raw is pretty stacked, you got guys like Damian Priest, you got Drew McIntyre, CM Punk whenever he’s around and able, you got Gunther kind of waiting in the wings as well…so it’s stacked, it was very interesting to see where I could slide in.”

“The time felt right coming off a huge event overseas, Clash at the Castle in Scotland, it was ripe for the pickin’, man. Damian Priest needed a challenger, so I hopped right in,” he added.

Rollins wrestled twice at WrestleMania 40, first teaming with Cody Rhodes to lose to The Rock and Roman Reigns on night one, then lost the World Heavyweight title to Drew McIntyre the next night. He then took time off to recover from a torn meniscus suffered earlier in the year.
