Seth Rollins returns on WWE Raw, attacks Bronson Reed

Seth Rollins is back.

Rollins interrupted the main event of Raw, which saw Bronson Reed battle Braun Strowman in a last monster standing match. The finish had Reed hit a superplex on Strowman, causing the ring to collapse. As both Strowman and Reed were struggling to get to their feet before the ten count, Rollins entered the ring and gave Reed a curb stomp on steel stairs. That allowed Strowman to pick up the win.

Back in August, Reed attacked Rollins in the ring and gave him six tsunami splashes off the top rope, causing internal bleeding. Dave Meltzer later reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the angle took place so Rollins could take time off to recover from an injury. He underwent surgery earlier in the year to repair a torn meniscus.

In the time since Rollins’ injury, Reed has been built up as a powerhouse, attacking R-Truth in the same manner shortly after taking out Rollins. He started a feud with Bron Strowman, with the two first facing off on the August 26 edition of Raw that ended up in a no contest after Reed gave Strowman a tsunami on top of a car.
