Seth Rollins on WWE Raw crowd booing Hulk Hogan: ‘I love to see it’

Seth Rollins wasn’t upset to see Hulk Hogan get booed at WWE Raw’s Netflix premiere.
Rollins was a guest at Super Bowl Radio Row on Thursday, representing WWE as he made the media rounds. He appeared on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football and was asked about Hogan getting booed by the Raw crowd in Los Angeles on January 6. Rollins said he’s all for people getting what they deserve — and he thinks Hogan needs to take more responsibility for the mistakes he’s made in the past if he wants fans to accept him.
“I am all for people getting what they deserve. That’s how I feel about Hulk Hogan getting booed,” Rollins said. “If you are getting booed by the masses, there is a reason for it, all right? So I don’t know if Hulk fully understands the scope, but people get what they deserve. So I’m happy to see it. I love to see it. And, look, I said this before about the Hulkster, he’s the guy that got me into this industry as far as love for professional wrestling, so I’ll never take that away from him. What he’s done for our business, I’ll never take that away from him. But I do think there’s some responsibility that he needs to own up to that he hasn’t yet. And maybe when he finally figures that out, he might be able to move forward with our fans. So, we’ll see.”
Hogan claimed on The Pat McAfee Show earlier this week that he expected the LA crowd to boo him. Hogan thinks politics had a lot to do with him getting booed, because he was a prominent supporter of Donald Trump’s presidential election campaign.
The Raw episode was Hogan’s first live appearance on WWE programming in two years. He was promoting his Real American Beer brand that recently announced a partnership with WWE.
Hogan was reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018 following a three-year suspension for racist language he used on a leaked video tape.
