Seth Rollins: March 25 WWE Raw ‘may be the best episode’ I’ve been part of

Seth Rollins says the WWE Raw on March 25 in Chicago may have been the best episode of the show he’s ever been part of.
The show opened and closed with The Rock making surprise appearances to confront, and later attack Cody Rhodes, but it also featured a memorable segment with Rollins, Drew McIntyre, and CM Punk. The segment was the highest-rated on the show, averaging 2.2 million viewers and a 0.71 demo rating.
“In [the] 12 years that I’ve been here, I think this may be the best episode of Monday Night Raw I’ve ever been a part of,” Rollins said to The Ringer about the show. “You had incredible talent across the board, everybody pushing boundaries in front of an electric-hot crowd in Chicago.”
Our own Dave Meltzer addressed the ratings pattern the show did in last week’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, available here for subscribers.
“The show did its normal ratings pattern until the segment with Punk, Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins, which jumped to 2,200,000 viewers and 933,000 in 18-49 (0.71), gaining 314,000 viewers and 151,000 in 18-49,” Meltzer wrote. “It should be noted that this was during halftime of the basketball game.”
During the segment, it was revealed that Punk will be on commentary for McIntyre vs. Rollins on night two. According to the current projected match order, McIntyre vs. Rollins will be the first match of night two, meaning Rollins would close the show on Saturday and then open it on Sunday.
Heading into his two matches this weekend, Rollins says he feels this is the best version of himself ever.
“I’m about to be 38 in May, and I’m, like, right in my prime, like my mental and my physical are right in the perfect space. And I think the next five years, especially, I’m going to be able to really, really hone it in and kick it into gear. But right now, dude, I’m having a great time,” Rollins said.
“I’m getting to be able to be in the ring with guys who are extremely experienced and extremely good at what they do, and we’re all just elevating each other’s game. And so, like, I feel like this is easily the best version of Seth Rollins that we’ve seen so far. But with that said, I do think the best is yet to come.”
