Seth Rollins has sports media ambitions after WWE career

Seth Rollins would love to commentate NFL games once his career in WWE is done.

Ahead of the Royal Rumble, Rollins was interviewed on a new episode of the SI Media podcast. Host Jimmy Traina asked Rollins — a huge Chicago Bears fan — if he would be interested in a sports media career when his time in the ring is over or if he just plans to stay at home with his family. Rollins said family time is the best, but he would also like to accomplish his dream of calling Bears games.

“I mean, family life rules, man. I have a great time when it’s just me and the girls. I love just chilling and hanging out and taking the kid to all of her little activities. Her dance classes and her gymnastic classes and all that stuff,” Rollins said. “But I also would love to kick Tom Brady out of the booth and take his spot, you know? [laughs] He’s busy owning the [Las Vegas] Raiders and stuff.

“So when I’m done winning championships, I’d love to come in there and do that. My dream is to sit in the booth and call Bears games. I would love to be on color for one of those things. Play-by-play? I don’t know, that might be over my pay grade. But I can do some color commentary, man. You put a microphone in front of me, I know what I’m talking about. I can get some stuff done. I think I might add a little flavor to it too, you know? Something a little bit different. So if anybody’s out there listening and you’re looking for a new color guy in your booth, I’m ready.”

Rollins will be in New Orleans on Wednesday night and Thursday of next week as a guest on Super Bowl Radio Row.

While it’s unknown if he’ll ever have a full-time sports media career, Rollins told Traina that he’s working on plans for a Bears podcast if he can find the time to put something together that he’s happy with between his WWE and family duties.

“We’re looking at something, so keep your eyes peeled in 2025,” Rollins said. “We’re trying to get something together. It should be a lot of fun, I hope. If we can get it off the ground.”

Rollins is one of the confirmed entrants for the 2025 men’s Royal Rumble match. The PLE is taking place from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis this Saturday.
