Seth Rollins attacker identified, charged after WWE Raw incident

Seth Rollins’ attacker has been identified and charged following the incident that took place on Monday’s Raw at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
A New York Police Department spokesperson told ESPN that the fan who attacked Rollins was 24-year-old Elisah Spencer. Spencer is being charged with attempted assault and attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs (disrupting a live sporting event).
TMZ noted that Spencer is due in court for a hearing on the matter next month.
The attack happened when Rollins (real name Colby Lopez) was heading up the ramp after taking part in a segment with Finn Balor on Raw last night. Spencer jumped the guardrail, ran at Rollins, and tackled him. Rollins put Spencer in a front facelock and the two briefly fought on the ground until security and WWE referees separated Spencer from Rollins and escorted him out.
As Spencer was being escorted away, Rollins yelled at him but let security handle the situation.

WWE issued a statement after the attack noting that Spencer had been turned over to the NYPD: “WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously. The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
The beginning of the attack happened while cameras were on Rollins. The show then cut away and went to a replay of Rollins laying out Balor. When they returned, Rollins was on the stage and taunting Balor.
Rollins appeared again later on Raw as he came out to ringside for the show’s Big E vs. Austin Theory WWE Championship main event. The show ended with Big E giving Rollins the Big Ending after defeating Theory. Rollins and Kevin Owens arguing on the outside led to Theory being distracted and Big E getting the win.
The NYPD noted that Rollins refused medical attention after being attacked by Spencer. Rollins had blood on his mouth that appeared to have first been caused during his segment with Balor.
