Samoa Joe to face Shinsuke Nakamura as NXT heads to Japan

Shinsuke Nakamura will be getting his rematch against Samoa Joe when NXT heads to Japan next month.

It was announced on tonight’s episode of NXT TV that Joe would officially defend the NXT Championship against Nakamura at the Edion Arena in Osaka, Japan on December 3rd. Joe defeated Nakamura for the title in the main event of NXT TakeOver: Toronto last Saturday in what was Nakamura’s first loss on TV since joining NXT and his first defense since taking the championship from Joe at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in August.

WWE previously announced earlier this year that they would be bringing NXT to Japan for the first time ever as a prelude to their tour of Australia in December. Joe is also scheduled to defend the title against Nakamura in a cage match in Melbourne on December 8th. Both the Osaka and Melbourne live events are being taped to air on TV in some fashion.
