Sami Zayn comedy show set for WWE Money in the Bank week

Sami Zayn is bringing his comedy show to Toronto in advance of Money in the Bank.

Last month, Zayn performed in Los Angeles as part of the Netflix is a Joke festival. WWE has announced that he’ll follow up on that with “Sami Zayn & Friends Do Toronto” taking place on Thursday, July 4 — two days before the city hosts Money in the Bank.

The Danforth Music Hall will be the venue for Zayn’s event. It’s a comedy and variety show that will include appearances from other WWE talent, along with guests from comedy and television.

Tickets for the comedy show are going on sale this Wednesday (June 19) at 10 a.m. Eastern time. The pre-sale begins at 10 a.m. Eastern on Tuesday.

WWE notes that “a limited number of post-show meet-and-greet tickets” with Zayn will also be available.

At WWE Clash at the Castle over the weekend, Zayn retained his Intercontinental title against Chad Gable after in-fighting between Gable and Alpha Academy. Zayn has been champion since dethroning Gunther at WrestleMania 40.

Money in the Bank is being held at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on July 6. The venue will host SmackDown on July 5 and NXT Heatwave on July 7.

Zayn also performed a comedy show in Toronto during SummerSlam week in 2019.
