Rusev vs. Sheamus added to WWE Raw
A battle between former friends has been added to Raw.
During Night of Champions, it was confirmed that Sheamus will do battle with Rusev this Monday in Pittsburgh. This comes after several weeks of backstage confrontations between the two.
The two participated in a four-way opening round match of the King of the Ring that was won by Jey Uso. The following week, Sheamus was given words of encouragement by members of Alpha Academy when Rusev appeared, accusing Sheamus of trying to be everybody’s friend while stabbing them in the back. Sheamus shot back, saying he remembered Rusev as the most egotistical member of their short-lived stable League of Nations, saying it was time to put up or shut up.
Already set for Raw is a World Tag Team title match with The New Day defending against Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. The show will air at a special start time of 6 pm ET on Netflix:
