Royal Rumble contract signing booked for next WWE SmackDown

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will be in the building for next Friday’s SmackDown.

After not appearing on this week’s show, Reigns will make his return to SmackDown next Friday. WWE has announced that there will be a Royal Rumble contract signing on the episode with Reigns, Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles.

Reigns is defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Orton, Knight, and Styles in a fatal four-way match at the Royal Rumble on Saturday, January 27. The match was announced by SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis last week after Reigns and The Bloodline disrupted a triple threat number one contender’s bout.

Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman attempted to hijack SmackDown tonight. In response, Aldis booked Uso & Sikoa in a tag match against Orton, Knight & Styles.

Uso & Sikoa weren’t able to find a partner for the match. They tried to even the odds by attacking Orton while he was making his entrance, but Orton returned during the match and pinned Uso after hitting an RKO. The show ended with Orton, Knight, and Styles laying out Uso and Sikoa. They hit Uso with the steel steps and then put Sikoa through the announce table.

Next week’s SmackDown is the second-to-last episode of the show before the Royal Rumble. United States Champion Logan Paul is set to make an appearance ahead of his Royal Rumble title defense against Kevin Owens. Paul will be Owens’ guest on The KO Show.
