Rousey given storyline suspension as part of WWE Raw angle

A storyline suspension will keep Ronda Rousey from appearing on Raw for the next 30 days.

The suspension stems from an angle that opened up tonight’s show. GM Kurt Angle was in the ring to introduce the new Raw women’s’ champion, Alexa Bliss. After some bragging, Rousey arrived to the ring, not too pleased. Bliss continued to brag, calling Rousey an overhyped rookie.

That caused Rousey to go on a tear, destroying Alexa Bliss, Kurt Angle and a number of other officials who tried to break up the altercation. The segment ended when Rousey put Bliss through a table that was set up in the ring for the celebration.

In storyline, this would mean that the next time Rousey will be allowed on television is July 18, which would be just a few days after Extreme Rules on July 15. She would be able to appear back on TV starting on the 7/23 episode of Raw.
