Roode returns to WWE SmackDown after wellness suspension

With his 30-day suspension up, Robert Roode returned to WWE television on tonight’s SmackDown.

Roode appeared after tonight’s main event, with Roode, Baron Corbin, and Dolph Ziggler laying out Roman Reigns and The Usos. The show ended with the heels burying Reigns under the announce table — just like Reigns did to Roode during his last appearance in November.

The Usos faced Corbin & Ziggler in tonight’s main event. The Revival caused a distraction but were laid out by a Superman punch from Reigns as they headed to the back. The match ended in a disqualification when Reigns speared Corbin after Corbin had thrown Jimmy Uso into him and later sent Reigns into the barricade.

Reigns was trying to powerbomb Corbin through the announce table, but Roode made his return and attacked Reigns.

WWE announced on December 10 that Roode and Primo Colon had been suspended for 30 days for their first violations of the company’s wellness policy.
