Ronda Rousey taking time off from WWE to start a family

According to a source of ESPN reporter Ramona Shelburne, former Raw women’s champion Ronda Rousey is taking a break from WWE in order to start a family with her husband, UFC fighter Travis Browne.

The former UFC women’s bantamweight champion posted an image of the two on Instagram earlier Monday with a caption ‘#impregnationvacation’.

The 32-year-old Rousey has no children while the 36-year-old Browne has two sons from a previous marriage. She lost her Raw title at WrestleMania to Becky Lynch in a triple threat that also included Charlotte Flair.

As far as late-January, our Dave Meltzer reported that Rousey would likely be done with WWE after WrestleMania, something she didn’t care for when asked to address the speculation:

“I honestly don’t know why [anyone] feels like [they’re] an authority to speak on the plans for my uterus. If I responded every single time the world speculated what I was doing with my womb I would not have a free moment in the day. I really don’t feel like I should have to respond to that kind of thing. It’s my vagina, my life, keep the speculations to yourself. Leave me and my reproductive organs alone.”

From the January 28th WON:

“Rousey has always talked about WWE as a temporary thing, and her long-term thing was to start a family with husband Travis Browne and live on her farm. This has been known for some time and Rousey very much wants to start a family soon.

It was always pretty much known it would be after this year’s WrestleMania because she made close to a full-time commitment for one year to WWE, even though it was announced at the time she signed a multi-year full-time contract.”
