Ronda Rousey-Charlotte Flair beat the clock set for WWE SmackDown

An “I Quit” beat the clock challenge between Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair has been announced for the Friday, April 29 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Before Rousey challenges Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in a I Quit match at WrestleMania Backlash on May 8, the two will compete on next week’s episode to see who can make their opponent quit in the fastest time. No opponents were announced for the challenge.

In the show-closing segment on this week’s SmackDown, a Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn steel cage match was announced for next week’s show. Zayn ran away from the ring during this week’s lumberjack match main event against McIntyre, prompting storyline official Adam Pearce to declare the cage match stipulation.

Also announced, Ricochet will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Shanky. The contest was set up during a backstage segment on this week’s SmackDown.

Additionally, Raquel Rodriguez will make her SmackDown in-ring debut. Rodriguez was introduced as part of the SmackDown roster two weeks ago, but has yet to wrestle on the show.

Next week’s SmackDown is being taped tonight in Albany, New York. Here is the announced lineup:

  • “I Quit” beat the clock challenge between Charlotte Flair & Ronda Rousey
  • Steel cage match: Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn
  • WWE Intercontinental Championship: Ricochet (c) vs. Shanky
  • Raquel Rodriguez debuts
