Roman Reigns’ WWE contract expires in 2026, will wrestle ‘another year or two max’ after that

Roman Reigns might only have a few years left before he hands up his boots as an in-ring competitor.
In a feature story published by Vanity Fair on Thursday, it was revealed that Reigns only has one year left on his current WWE contract. The deal is set to expire after WrestleMania 42 in 2026. Reigns plans to continue with WWE after that, but he knows his in-ring career is closer to the end than the beginning.
“After I finish the contract that I’m in, we probably got another year or two max,” Reigns said. “Then it’s time to take on a less physical form of entertainment.”
That less physical form of entertainment is likely to include Reigns branching out into Hollywood. Vanity Fair wrote that Reigns receives a lot of scripts but does not take many roles due to his WWE responsibilities. Reigns said that, when he does fully commit to acting, he wants to be selective with the parts he takes.
“I almost want to model it after Tarantino, where we’re not just doing anything and everything,” Reigns said. “I want to really plot out: I want this one, I want that one.”
Reigns did appear in the 2019 movie Hobbs & Shaw, which starred Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Vanity Fair notes that Reigns is also set for a scene in the upcoming heist-comedy movie The Pickup with Eddie Murphy and Keke Palmer.
“He probably shows as much charisma that I’ve ever seen from a celebrity or nonactor,” said The Pickup director Tim Story. “I think his future in front of the camera will be ridiculous.”
A triple threat match with Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins will headline WrestleMania 41 night one in Las Vegas this Saturday. It’s Reigns’ fifth straight year headlining at least one of the nights of WrestleMania.
