Roman Reigns vs. Buddy Murphy announced for WWE SmackDown

After their angle at the end of last week’s SmackDown, Roman Reigns and Buddy Murphy are set to face off tomorrow night.

WWE has announced Reigns vs. Murphy for this week’s episode of SmackDown. The match was set up by Murphy issuing a challenge to Reigns via Twitter. Reigns then responded and accepted the challenge: “Not about holding anyone down, I’m all about seeing if people want to step up. Consider this me accepting your challenge. See you tomorrow night on #SDLive, Buddy.”

This will be Murphy’s first televised match on SmackDown since joining the brand in April’s roster shakeup.

On SmackDown last week, Murphy accused Rowan of being Reigns’ mystery attacker. Reigns pointed out that Murphy was in the hallway when he was first attacked. Murphy said he didn’t know who did it, but he wouldn’t tell Reigns even if he did. Reigns then beat down Murphy until he gave him an answer.

Murphy vs. Apollo Crews took place on the SummerSlam pre-show, but the match ended in a disqualification when Rowan attacked Murphy. Reigns didn’t have a match at SummerSlam.

Tomorrow’s SmackDown is the last of WWE’s four straight nights at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
