Roman Reigns returns on WWE Raw
The Tribal Chief is back in WWE.
Roman Reigns made his return to the promotion in the main event segment of Monday’s WWE Raw, his first appearance on WWE programming since the Raw after WrestleMania 41 in April.
Reigns cleared the ring of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in the aftermath of the gauntlet match to determine Gunther’s SummerSlam opponent, making the save for Jey Uso and CM Punk.
Punk and Breakker were the final two competitors in the gauntlet, with Reed interfering on Breakker’s behalf. Uso was a participant in the match and eliminated earlier in the bout, but came back to the ring to neutralize Reed’s interference, allowing Punk to score the victory.
In his return, Reigns made it clear that he was aligned with Uso and not yet with Punk, helping Uso to his feet, but ignoring Punk’s handshake offer.
A Reigns and Uso vs. Breakker and Reed tag team match for SummerSlam appears to be the direction for the returning Reigns in his first match since WrestleMania 41, although that has yet to be officially announced.
WWE unveiled a new merchandise line for Reigns coinciding with his return to TV:
