Roman Reigns return, two tournament matches set for next WWE SmackDown


The Tribal Chief will return on next week’s WWE SmackDown, plus the United States Championship contender’s tournament will continue.
Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns will appear on the Friday, December 15 SmackDown, his first time on WWE programming since defeating LA Knight at Crown Jewel to retain his title on November 4. In addition to next week’s appearance, Reigns is also advertised for the January 5 and January 19 SmackDown shows.
The United States title contender’s tournament will also continue next week with a pair of first round matches.
Kevin Owens will face Austin Theory in one tournament bout, while Grayson Waller will take on an as of yet unannounced NXT star in the other match. The winners will face each other in the tournament semifinals at a later date.
Bobby Lashley and Santos Escobar advanced to the semifinals on the other side of the bracket with wins on this week’s episode.
