Roman Reigns return, three matches booked for next WWE SmackDown

The Tribal Chief will return to WWE SmackDown on March 21, with three matches also set for the episode.
Reigns, the cover star for WWE 2K25, returns to SmackDown in Bologna, Italy on Friday, March 21. The announcement was confirmed by Reigns’ on-screen “Wise Man” Paul Heyman on this week’s show. Heyman cut a promo declaring Friday Roman Reigns Day around the world based on the worldwide release of the 2K25 video game.
Reigns was involved in the finish of last Monday’s WWE Raw, helping Seth Rollins defeat CM Punk in a steel cage match in the main event, then beating Rollins around the arena while Heyman comforted Punk. It was the first appearance for Reigns on WWE programming wince Punk eliminated him from the Royal Rumble, and Rollins attacked him in the aftermath on February 1.
Three matches have also been advertised for next week in Italy.
Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu will go one-on-one on the March 21 SmackDown following a phyiscal angle between the two on this week’s show.
Zelina Vega will continue her quest for a Women’s United Sates title match as she faces Piper Niven, an ally of Women’s US champ Chelsea Green.
Jade Cargill will also return to the ring for the first time since November as she faces Liv Morgan on next week’s episode.
