Ric Flair appearance confirmed for WWE Raw

This coming Monday’s episode of Raw will feature another appearance by Ric Flair.

A commercial that aired during SmackDown tonight announced that an appearance by Flair will air on Monday’s Raw. It said that Flair will crown Randy Orton as the greatest wrestler ever.

After defeating Edge in the “Greatest Wrestling Match Ever” at Backlash, Orton opened this week’s Raw until being confronted by Christian. The segment led to Orton challenging Christian to face him in an unsanctioned match later in the night.

Flair twice tried to talk Christian out of going through with the match. After it started, Flair gave Christian a low blow. Orton then hit a punt on Christian and got the win.

Flair also made an appearance via video during the build to Backlash and predicted that Orton would defeat Edge. He said Orton is the greatest in-ring performer today.

WWE is calling Monday’s Raw the “Championship Monday” edition of the show. R-Truth defending the 24-7 title against Akira Tozawa and his group of ninjas has been announced for the episode. There will also be three other title matches: Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women’s Championship, Bayley & Sasha Banks vs. The IIconics for the Women’s Tag Team titles, and The Street Profits vs. The Viking Raiders for the Raw Tag Team titles.

Plus, Rey Mysterio will make his first in-person appearance since the angle where Seth Rollins attacked his eye last month.
