Rhea Ripley off WWE Raw due to being in ‘protocol’

A planned Women’s Tag Team title match scheduled for Raw did not happen as Rhea Ripley was in protocol.

Ripley’s tag team partner, Liv Morgan, wrestled Naomi on tonight’s show. On commentary, the announcers said that Rhea Ripley was ‘in protocol’ and would not be on the show tonight. It wasn’t specifically mentioned what protocol she was under. Morgan went on to lose the match.

Morgan & Ripley lost a championship contender’s match on last week’s Raw, losing to the champions Naomi & Sasha Banks. After the match, Ripley left Morgan, unhappy about the loss. Later backstage, the two reconciled after Morgan said she was able to get a championship match for next week. On SmackDown this past Friday, Morgan defeated Sasha Banks ahead of what was supposed to be the title match on tonight’s show.

The duo also had a shot at the titles at WrestleMania 38, however it was Banks & Naomi who defeated champions Queen Zelina & Carmella and Natalya & Shayna Baszler in a four-way match.
