WWE TLC live results: Two TLC matches, Bray Wyatt vs. The Miz
WWE’s final pay-per-view of the year takes place tonight as the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota hosts TLC.
Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka & Kairi Sane will defend their titles against Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair. Lynch and Charlotte have each had their battles with the Kabuki Warriors over the past few weeks and the champs issued a title challenge. Lynch and Charlotte accepted under the rules of a tables, ladders, and chairs match.
There will be several other gimmick matches as well. Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin will also have a TLC match, The New Day will defend the SmackDown Tag Team titles against The Revival in a ladder match, and Rusev takes on Bobby Lashley in a tables match.
Universal Champion Bray Wyatt will wrestle The Miz in a non-title match as himself, not as The Fiend. The Miz was last seen on SmackDown with Maryse tending to their daughter after she was found playing with one of Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House puppets.
Also on the main card, Aleister Black faces Buddy Murphy, and Raw Tag Team Champions The Viking Raiders will issue an open challenge.
The main card begins at 7 p.m. Eastern time, with the pre-show starting an hour before that and featuring Andrade vs. Humberto Carrillo.

KICK-OFF SHOW
The Revival confronted Booker T at the desk and basically told him to get in the ring and fight if he was going to question them. They even encouraged him to find Stevie Ray.
Humberto Carrillo defeated Andrade (w/Zelina Vega) (12:38)
There were two quick breaks in the first five minutes to plug the PPV.
Andrade was cut somewhere on his face during the match, I think around the left eye. The referee tried to check on him but Andrade pushed him off. (The ref eventually did check on him.) Later in the match, Vic Joseph kept going on about the welts forming on Andrade’s body, completely ignoring the blood on his face.
There was a spot where Andrade did a double foot stomp off the top of the ring post, with Carrillo hanging from the ropes outside the ring. This got a “This is awesome” chant from the crowd. Carrillo did an inverted Frankensteiner off the top followed by a moonsault for the pinfall win. The crowd was happy. This was good.
Vega tried to check on Andrade after the match but he brushed her off and left.
Booker called The Miz a “badass Ryan Seacrest.”
Aleister Black said he had a feeling that he and Buddy Murphy were destined to do this again and again — unless Black put him down for good with a Black Mass.
TLC MAIN SHOW
The PPV intro was a Firefly Fun House segment. Bray Wyatt hanged ornaments on a ladder. He said it was the end of the year and it was time to reflect on the friends and enemies we’ve made along the way as they played clips to plug tonight’s top matches.
Ladder Match: Kofi Kingston & Big E defeated The Revival to retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championships (19:03)
The Revival were beating down New Day and tried to whip Kingston into the side of the ring for a second time. However, Kingston leaped through the bottom rope and attempted a dive, but as he did, they dropped a ladder on him repeatedly, which looked painful.
They tried to attack again with the ladder but he again leaped over it and was able to hit a dive this time, driving the ladder into both men. Big E then won a tug of war with the ladder over both men and used it as a weapon. Big E missed an apron dive and crashed on the ladder. Revival drove the ladder into Big E’s groin, then dropkicked it into his groin again.
Kingston used a ladder on the Revival, Big E put Scott Dawson in a stretch muffler, then Kingston drove a ladder into his midsection. Revival tried to push the ladder over as Kingston climbed it, but he bounced off the top rope and hit Dawson with a tornado DDT, then took out Dash Wilder with a Trouble in Paradise. The crowd popped big for this, perhaps in part because they could tell Kingston almost lost his balance but still managed to pull this off.
The Revival managed to catch Kingston with a Shatter Machine as he came off the ladder. Big E then took out Wilder with a big spear through the ropes to the floor. Big E set up a ladder but Revival fought him off and Dawson suplexed him onto the ladder. It didn’t break as intended, so they put him on top of it and Wilder splashed Big E through it.
Revival began climbing but Kingston leaped on the ladder. They fought him off but Big E grabbed Wilder and gave him a Big Ending off the ladder. As Dawson reached for the belts, Kingston drove the belts into his face and he fell off the ladder through another ladder. Kingston grabbed the belts. The New Day retained.
This was very good. Hopefully everyone is fine. The crowd liked the New Day.
Baron Corbin told Kayla Braxton that he wasn’t worried about Roman Reigns and would show him who his master was.
They recapped Carrillo’s win over Andrade earlier. Jerry Lawler was very impressed with Carrillo’s moonsault. They also speculated on the dissension between Andrade and Vega.
Aleister Black defeated Buddy Murphy (13:39)
Black was in control until Murphy blocked a soccer kick and drove him into the post and steel steps. Black came up bleeding from the nose. Like on the pre-show match, Joseph didn’t mention the blood, but at least Lawler did. Murphy grabbed Black’s vest and was about to put it on but chucked it at Black instead. Black ducked and the vest might’ve hit Lawler.
Joseph and Samoa Joe kept talking about Black’s jaw being hurt and Lawler was practically screaming at them that Black’s nose might be broken. (So someone was probably telling them not to mention it but Lawler likely doesn’t care.) Black came back with strikes and a springboard moonsault for two.
They fought on the apron, then Black caught him with another springboard moonsault, this time to the outside. Black tossed him back in the ring and hit a knee strike for two. Murphy tied up Black in the ropes and hit four consecutive superkicks followed by a sit-out powerbomb for a nearfall. Murphy got the better of a strike exchange and hit a brainbuster for two.
They traded strikes again and Black nailed him with a Black Mass for the pinfall win. This was very good. The crowd was quiet but they seemed to appreciate the effort and popped big for the finish.
Charly Caruso interviewed Rusev, who was “elated” that Lana might marry Bobby Lashley because when she remarries, he doesn’t have to pay alimony. He said it didn’t matter what they had planned for tonight, because Lana would be picking splinters out of Lashley’s back. Rusev said he might be single but he was not alone because every day was Rusev Day.
Raw Tag Team Championship match: The Viking Raiders DCO Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson (8:29)
The Viking Raiders issued an open challenge and the OC answered. Anderson said they were the best team in the world and they had the trophy to prove it. He also said they were the only team to beat the Raiders.
Four “fans” watched from ringside with a table full of KFC.
Ivar did a handspring elbow to both guys, which missed but they sold anyway. The Raiders gave Anderson a Viking Experience but Gallows broke up the cover. OC tossed Erik over the barricade, then Ivar wiped them out with a dive as the referee counted to ten. Double countout. The crowd booed the finish.
Anderson grabbed the KFC branded table and the crowd chanted “KFC.” Erik tossed some food off the table, which was booed, then they put Anderson through the table. This was lame. The crowd didn’t even pop that big for the table break.
The Miz let Braxton know that his family was safe and he has moved them to an undisclosed location. Miz called Bray Wyatt a monster, maybe even more so than the Fiend. Miz said Wyatt violated the sanctity of his home and this was the most important and personal match of his life. He wasn’t fighting as “The Miz” tonight, he was fighting as a man protecting his family.
Tables, Ladders & Chairs match: Baron Corbin defeated Roman Reigns (22:13)
Michael Cole said Corbin was alone because Reigns took out both Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler. No mention of Roode’s suspension.
The match started outside the ring after Corbin sent his lackeys after Reigns. Reigns fought them off easily, then Reigns and Corbin fought through the crowd. When they eventually entered the ring, Corbin caught him with a Deep Six for two. After a while, Corbin drove a ladder into Reigns’ protected midsection, then lightly dropped it over his back.
Corbin hit Reigns a few times with a chair then placed it in the corner. Reigns came back with a clothesline, leaping clothesline, ten clotheslines in the corner, and a big boot. The crowd chanted for Roman. Corbin avoided a superman punch and clothesline, then followed with a chokeslam backbreaker.
Corbin mocked Reigns, then Reigns chucked him into the chair in the corner and followed with a superman punch for a nearfall. The crowd chanted for tables. Reigns set up a table in the ring, then Corbin hit him in the face with a can of dog food. Cole freaked out like he hit him with a brick. Corbin chokeslammed Reigns through the table for a nearfall.
Corbin set up the announce table but Reigns grabbed him and gave him a Samoan drop through a different announce table. Reigns circled the ring and went for a spear through the barricade, but Ziggler appeared out of nowhere and superkicked him. Corbin and Ziggler beat up a random stagehand as Ziggler yelled at him to listen to his king.
They were about to dump dog food on the guy but Reigns saved him, taking out both guys with a driveby dropkick. Corbin’s lackeys ran out and Reigns took them out one by one with a Kendo stick. The Revival ran out to attack Reigns but he eventually fought them off. Reigns then did an Undertaker dive onto a large group of bodies.
Ziggler chucked a chair in Reigns’ face, then gave him a superkick. Cole screamed about how unfair this match with no rules was. Corey Graves explained that this is what Reigns signed up for. The Revival gave Reigns a Shatter Machine, then Corbin gave him an End of Days on a chair for the pinfall win. Corbin pinned Reigns.
This wasn’t good. They somehow managed to have a boring TLC match.
Universal Champion Bray Wyatt defeated The Miz in a non-title match (6:35)
Wyatt came out to the Firefly Fun House music and graphics. He wore a sweater and jeans and wore the Universal title belt around his waist to the ring. He came out all happy and waved the crowd. He climbed on the announce table, which made Cole jump, and he posed for the fans. As he was about to enter the ring, he posed for the fans again and they all cheered.
The crowd loudly chanted “yowie wowie.” When the bell rang, Miz immediately caught Wyatt with a boot, then followed with knees in the corner. Wyatt tried to reason with him and told him to take it easy. Miz attacked him with knees and kicks.
Wyatt finally tried some offense but Miz fought him off and hit jogging knees in the corner. Wyatt grabbed him and set up for Sister Abigail but Miz slipped out and hit a Skull Crushing Finale. Miz didn’t go for a cover and instead rammed his face against the mat.
Miz tried a submission as the crowd fell silent. Wyatt laughed as Miz applied the hold and encouraged him to do it. Wyatt rolled out of the ring and drove his own shoulder against the barricade as the announcers speculated that he was trying to pop his shoulder back in.
Wyatt dodged a charged and gave Miz a Sister Abigail off the barricade. Miz barely beat a ten count, but Wyatt gave him another Sister Abigail for the pinfall win. The crowd was dead.
After the match, The Fiend appeared on the screen as the fans lightly chanted “let him in.” Wyatt looked at the screen and said, “Okay, I’ll do it.” Wyatt grabbed his Harley Quinn mallet from under the ring. Cole asked Grave if he saw the Fiend on the screen. Of course he saw. We can all see it. Before Wyatt could use the mallet, the lights began to go out.
Wyatt thought the Fiend was coming out, but when he turned around, there was a man in a hooded sweater. The man gave Wyatt a running knee. It was Daniel Bryan, who shaved his beard and also has short hair (basically how he looked in ROH). The crowd chanted “Yes” as Bryan continued to attack and hit another knee.
Bryan grabbed the mallet and was about to kill Wyatt, but the lights went out and Wyatt disappeared. Bryan led the crowd in Yes chants, then stared longingly at the title belt.
The match was a dud but I enjoyed the postmatch. It’s always fun watching Bryan beat people up.
Tables match: Bobby Lashley (w/Lana) defeated Rusev (13:29)
Lawler said he heard that Lana’s mugshot was being used as currency in the Nashville jail.
Rusev went for a table early on but Lana pulled it out of the ring. The distraction allowed Lashley to attack and hit a Dominator. Rusev fought back and gave him a vertical suplex on the ramp. Rusev tried to slam him through a table, but Lashley tipped the table over, slipped away and drove Rusev into the steel steps.
After a few hours, Rusev tried to push Lashley off the apron through a table but Lashley avoided it. Rusev hit him with the steel steps, walked all the way to the stage to grab a metal bike rack and then hit Lashley with that too. Rusev placed it on the apron, then Lashley drove him through it.
Lashley grabbed a Kendo stick, which we already saw in an earlier match, and attacked Rusev with it. Lashley tried to hit him in the head with it but Rusev grabbed it and attacked him with it.
Rusev superkicked Lashley, then Lana jumped on Rusev’s back and raked him in the eyes. Lana jumped off and Lashley drove Rusev into a table, which didn’t break, then immediately suplexed Rusev through a second table. Lashley wins. Crowd was dead for this too. Another boring match.
That’s three straight babyfaces losses. The last two stick out as babyfaces failing in what were effectively fair fights.
The Street Profits were speaking backstage when a brawl suddenly broke out beside them. Reigns was fighting Corbin. The New Day, Chad Gable, Buddy Murphy, Dolph Ziggler and The Revival were all fighting as well. The Street Profits joined in and put the boots to Murphy.

Tables, Ladders & Chairs match: Asuka & Kairi Sane defeated Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair to retain the Women’s Tag Team Championships (25:54)
Charlotte and Lynch took turns chucking Sane on the announce tables. Asuka saved her friend by launching a chair into each woman. Sane then dropkicked a chair into Charlotte’s face. Lynch dropped Asuka face-first into the underside of a chair, then on to a ladder. Charlotte and Lynch then drove Asuka into the post.
Sane tried to chuck a chair in the ring but it bounced back off the top rope and might’ve actually hit her in the face. The crowd laughed at her, so she freaked out and starting chucking chairs everywhere.
Charlotte and Lynch went after her as she tried to hide under the ring. As they yanked her out, Sane reemerged with a fire extinguisher and blasted them in the face. This was a great reveal. Asuka then attacked with a bull rope.
They slammed Lynch on a ladder, then used the rope to tie her to it. They attacked Charlotte and tossed her over the barricade, then waved her goodbye. They took their time climbing the ladder, then Charlotte jumped in with and attacked them with a Kendo stick.
Charlotte tossed Asuka into a few chairs, then suplexed Sane into the barricade. Sane seemed to take a bad bump. Charlotte tried to untie Lynch from the ladder but Asuka attacked her with a chair.
Sane tried an elbow drop but Lynch got her knees up. Lynch also managed to kick Asuka, then broke free from the ropes (Charlotte had loosened them). Lynch put Asuka through a table with a diving leg drop from the turnbuckles to the outside. Lynch and Charlotte tried to put Sane through a table but she countered and dropped them both with a double DDT.
Sane placed them both on a table, then attempted a splash. Charlotte moved and Sane landed on Lynch, but the table didn’t break. This was followed by another messy sequence where Charlotte tried to spear Sane but they screwed it up. Charlotte seemed to say “enough of this shit!” then grabbed Sane and powerbombed her through a table, which was also a struggle.
Asuka gave Charlotte and German suplex and dumped a table on Lynch. Charlotte and Lynch fought back with chairs. The crowd booed this for some reason.
Charlotte went to the top for a moonsault but Asuka went after her and powerbombed her through a table on the outside. Lynch gave Asuka an Exploder twice into a ladder. (You could see Lynch communicated with Asuka on what to do next.)
Lynch climbed the ladder and almost grabbed the belts but Asuka yanked the ladder down with the bull rope that she tied to it earlier. Lynch fell out of the ring, then Asuka climbed the ladder and grabbed the belts. Asuka and Sane retain.
Asuka could only celebrate for a few seconds when the brawl from earlier spilled out into the arena. The OC and Viking Raiders were part of the brawl now too. The final shot was Reigns spearing Corbin off a tall thing onto a pile of bodies.
Hopefully, nobody got hurt in the main event. Sane, in particular, seemed to have a rough time and at some point, the match fell apart. There were three different spots I can think of off the top of my head where Sane might’ve gotten hurt. After all that, ending with that Reigns-Corbin brawl was silly.
If you didn’t see the show, it started well with the first two matches. Then the rest of the show happened.
