WWE Springfield & Cape Girardeau live results: Sunday house shows

Submitted by Joseph Gilbert from Raw’s house show in Springfield, Missouri
– AJ Styles cut a heel promo to start the show and issued a United States title open challenge.
– United States Champion AJ Styles defeated Matt Hardy to retain his title
Hardy’s “Delete” chant was still very over with the crowd. He countered the Phenomenal Forearm into a Twist of Fate, but Styles got his foot on the rope right before the three. Styles won with a roll-up and holding the tights.
– The Lucha House Party (Kalisto, Gran Metalik & Lince Dorado) & No Way Jose defeated EC3, Mojo Rawley, Eric Young & Robert Roode
Dorado pinned EC3 after a Shooting Star Press. The OC (Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson) attacked the faces after the match.
– Braun Strowman defeated Cesaro
Strowman was very over with the crowd, especially the kids. There was good back-and-forth the entire match. Strowman won with a running powerslam. He did a hulking up spot and did some Hogan poses after the match.
– Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch defeated Lacey Evans to retain her title
They worked a solid match after doing some comedy — better than their bouts on TV. Lynch was the most over person with the crowd on the whole show.
Lynch retained with the Dis-Arm-Her.
– Drew McIntyre defeated Cedric Alexander
Alexander attacked McIntyre while McIntyre was cutting a promo before this started. It was mostly a back-and-forth match.
Similar to their Raw match, McIntyre went for the Alabama slam and Alexander reversed it into a roll-up. McIntyre kicked out and then hit the Claymore Kick for the finish.
– Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson defeated Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins
Gallows and Anderson won after hitting the Magic Killer. Not much to this one — basic tag match.
– Seth Rollins defeated Baron Corbin in a street fight
During the match, Rollins set Corbin on a table that was in the ring. Rollins was going for a frog splash, but Lacey Evans came out and pushed him off the rope. Evans beat Rollins with a kendo stick, and Corbin chokeslammed Rollins through the table.
Becky Lynch came out and attacked Evans with the kendo stick until she fell out of the ring. Corbin backed Lynch into a corner before Lynch beat Corbin with the kendo stick. Rollins and Lynch set a new table up in the corner and both put Corbin through it. Rollins then hit the curb stomp for the win.

– Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Ali to retain his title
I thought this was one of Nakamura’s best matches since coming to WWE.
– Bayley came out to make her entrance but was attacked by Charlotte Flair and then Alexa Bliss.
– Apollo Crews defeated Buddy Murphy
– WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The IIconics defeated Asuka & Kairi Sane to retain their titles
– Aleister Black defeated Andrade
– SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley defeated Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss in a triple threat match to retain her title
– SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods) defeated The B-Team, Heavy Machinery, and The Authors of Pain in a fatal four-way match to retain their titles
This match also saw R-Truth being chased down to the ring by Drake Maverick and some other undercard wrestlers, but there wasn’t a 24/7 title change.
– Sami Zayn cut a heel promo on the crowd. Kevin Owens then came out and gave him a stunner.
– WWE Champion Kofi Kingston defeated Samoa Joe and Dolph Ziggler in a triple threat match to retain his title
