WWE SmackDown live results: Logan Paul appears
WWE heads to the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio tonight as the build to Crown Jewel continues.
Logan Paul returns to SmackDown weeks before his title shot against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel. In Paul’s last appearance, he stirred up problems in The Bloodline involving Reigns, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn.
The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa will be in action tonight, taking on Sheamus. Both were involved in a fatal four-way match last week. When Sheamus had Sikoa in a cloverleaf, Uso and Zayn interfered and started a brawl between The Bloodline and The Brawling Brutes.
Liv Morgan goes one-on-one with Sonya Deville. Last week, Deville mocked Morgan for losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey. Morgan snapped. She attacked Deville, climbed up a structure, and put her through a table.
Plus, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) defend their titles against the team of Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi.

As Michael Cole and Wade Barrett ran down the lineup, Bray Wyatt’s symbol flashed on the screen with a series of images.
Solo Sikoa (w/Sami Zayn & The Usos) defeated Sheamus (w/Butch & Ridge Holland) (13:04)
Not surprisingly, Sheamus and Sikoa had a very physical match. They worked hard and beat the hell out of each. The finish was chaotic and included The Usos burying Butch and Holland under the commentary desk. They did a solid post-match angle with the Bloodline injuring Sheamus’ arm.
Sikoa briefly took over with chops, but Sheamus fired back with a clothesline. Sheamus blocked a hip toss attempt and rocked Sikoa with another clothesline.
Sikoa recovered with a spinning heel kick. He then blocked the ten beats of bodhran and sent Sheamus to the floor. Sikoa continued his onslaught with the Umaga splash against the ring steps targeting Sheamus’ shoulder.
Back from the commercial, Sikoa hit a second Umaga splash, this time in the ring. He went for the move a third time, but Sheamus responded with a clothesline. With his injured arm, Sheamus hit white noise for a near fall. He climbed to the top rope, but Sikoa cut him off. Sikoa hit a second rope Samoan drop for a close two-count. Sheamus actually landed on the “injured” shoulder, which looked like it hurt.
Sikoa went for the spinning Solo, but Sheamus broke free. He responded with a one-arm tilt-a-whirl slam and the ten beats of bodhran. Sheamus avoided a superkick and hit a knee for a two-count.
Zayn jumped on the apron, which set off a wild brawl at ringside. The Usos trapped Butch and Holland under the commentary table. Sheamus took out the Usos with a flying crossbody to the floor.
The finish came when Sikoa cut Sheamus off as he entered the ring. He finished Sheamus off with the spinning Solo for the win.
After the match, The Bloodline jumped Sheamus and targeted his arm. Jimmy trapped Sheamus’ arm in a chair, and Jey destroyed the arm with a second chair. Eventually, Zayn stopped the attack. The Bloodline posed over a fallen Sheamus.

A video package recapped Rey Mysterio switching to SmackDown and winning the fatal four-way for a shot at the Intercontinental title.
Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser approached Rey Mysterio backstage earlier today. They mocked Mysterio for not being a threat to Gunther. Mysterio didn’t appreciate the disrespect and challenged one of them to a match tonight.

In the back, Bray Wyatt noted he got interrupted last week but will finish his promo now. His new entrance music played in the background.
The promo was about Wyatt making confessions. He confessed that he’s been angry and wanted the people to stop calling his name. He admitted that he was happy they didn’t stop. He appeared to address someone specifically and said he knew what they were doing, and it won’t work. He won’t apologize for the things he’s about to do. Wyatt added that he’s a servant and goes where the circle takes him.

In the locker room, Zayn and The Usos celebrated Solo Sikoa’s win. They bragged about injuring Sheamus’ arm. Zayn felt they had accomplished their mission and could take the rest of the night off. Jey disagreed and wanted to target Logan Paul later. Zayn added that Roman Reigns wanted them to leave Paul alone. Jimmy agreed with Zayn, but Jey implied he would do something to Paul later.

A video package recapped Liv Morgan attacking Sonya Deville last week.
Liv Morgan vs. Sonya Deville Double Count-Out (8:47)
Morgan and Deville seemed to struggle with the first part of the match. It picked up towards the end but then they did the weak count-out finish. The fans booed until Morgan gave Deville a superplex onto chairs.
Cole and Barrett pushed that Liv Morgan is a new person since losing the title to Ronda Rousey. Morgan kept smiling as Deville beat her down. She also had a Harley Quinn vibe.
Morgan scored a near fall with a backslide. Deville responded with a jumping knee to take over. She backed Morgan into the corner with forearm shots. Morgan kept smiling as Deville beat her down and threw her out of the ring.
Back from the break, Deville was firmly in control until Morgan fought back. Morgan screamed and caught Deville with a running knee. Deville recovered and hit another jumping knee for a two-count.
Deville hit Morgan with a series of kicks. Morgan absorbed the shots and challenged Deville to hit her again. Deville then hit a running knee for a near fall. Morgan snapped and started laughing again. She ran wild on Deville and beat her down around ringside. The referee counted them out as Morgan kept beating up Deville.
Morgan continued to attack Deville after the match. She threw a bunch of chairs into the ring and gave Devile a superplex onto the pile. Even though Morgan landed on the chairs, she kept laughing and smiling.

Another Viking Raiders vignette with Sarah Logan aired.
Braun Strowman and Omos Face to Face
They wisely kept this segment short and had very little physical interaction. But even Omos pushing Strowman looked a bit clumsy.
Strowman wasted no time and called out Omos. MVP walked out alone and praised Strowman as the biggest and strongest. Until last week when Strowman met Omos. He told Strowman to avoid Omos because it’ll expose that Strowman’s not the giant he claims to be. Strowman challenged Omos to a match at Crown Jewel. MVP accepted, but Strowman wanted to fight now.
Strowman assumed Omos wasn’t there. MVP corrected Strowman and introduced Omos. Strowman and Omos squared off in the middle of the ring. They had a brief staredown, which the fans seemed into. Omos gave Strowman a push out of the ring. Strowman got back to his feet and looked impressed as Omos walked off.

They recapped the car accident angle with Karrion Kross and Drew McIntyre last week. They made it clear that McIntyre caused the accident.
Kayla Braxton interviewed McIntyre. He admitted there were repercussions for his actions. He noted they all agreed that the feud needed to end. McIntyre challenged Kross to a steel cage match at Crown Jewel.
Logan Paul arrived at the arena.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Damage CTRL (w/Bayley) defeated Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi (10:10) to retain the titles
It was a bit sloppy but turned into a fun tag team match by the end.
The heels had the early advantage as they worked over Rodriguez. Shotzi hit a running senton in the corner on Dakota Kai to take over. She followed with a dive off of Rodriguez’s shoulders.
Rodriguez and Shotzi hit a doomsday/missile dropkick for a close near fall. Kai lured in Shotzi, and Iyo Sky caught her with a springboard missile dropkick to take over.
Back from the break, Shotzi fought back and tossed Kai to ringside. Rodriguez got the hot tag and ran wild. After a fallaway slam, Rodriguez went for the Vader bomb, but Sky cut her off. Kai tried to powerbomb Rodriguez, but Shotzi made the save.
Sky caught Rodriguez with a tornado DDT for a near fall. The faces briefly took over. They hit an assisted slice-bread for a two-count. Rodriguez tried to give Kai a powerbomb, but they fell out of the ring. In the ring, Sky took over and hit the moonsault on Shotzi for the win.

Kayla Braxton interviewed Ronda Rousey. Rousey was a total heel during the segment. She refused to defend the title in an open challenge tonight.
Rousey doesn’t care about the fans and bragged about beating Liv Morgan. She added that the fans don’t want the best to win. The fans want their favorite to win. Rousey will defend the title next week on her terms. She just wants to get out of Ohio.
A mysterious Bray Wyatt video aired right before the break.

In their locker room, Legado del Fantasma discussed building an empire. Santos Escobar and Zelina Vega bragged about being the best on SmackDown. Their legacy begins by ending Hit Row.
In another part of the arena, Hit Row was watching the promo on the monitor. They pointed out that Legado del Fantasma has the numbers advantage. B. Fab has a solution to even the odds.

Rey Mysterio defeated Ludwig Kaiser (w/Gunther & Giovanni Vinci) (11:23)
Mysterio and Kaiser had the match of the night. They told the story that Mysterio can focus because Dominik’s on Raw, and he’s on SmackDown. Mysterio looked strong, hitting all his key moves and outsmarting the heels.
Mysterio had the early advantage and sent Kaiser to ringside. After a brief distraction from Imperium, Mysterio went for his sliding splash/dive. Kaiser moved and rocked Mysterio with an uppercut.
Back from the commercial, Kaiser was firmly in control, attempting a superplex. Mysterio knocked Kaiser down and hit a senton. He fired up and hit a springboard crossbody off the middle rope. Kaiser tried fighting back, but Mysterio nailed him with a kick to the head. He followed up with a middle rope moonsault for a near fall.
Mysterio hit ten punches in the corner and paid tribute to Eddie Guerrero. The fans broke into a loud “Eddie” chant. After a series of head butts, Mysterio hit a top rope hurricanrana for a near fall. Mysterio sent Kaiser to ringside but missed a dive off the apron.
At ringside, Imperium approached Mysterio. He grabbed a chair and tossed it at Gunther. Gunther punched it away, but Mysterio pretended he got hit. The referee assumed Gunther attacked Mysterio and threw Imperium out.
Mysterio went for a splash, but Kaiser got his knees up. He then used an inside cradle for a two-count. Mysterio recovered and hit the 619. He finished Kaiser off with the splash for the win.

Logan Paul Promo
Logan Paul cut a good promo about needing one lucky shot to beat Roman Reigns. He then knocked out Jey Uso with one lucky shot proving he could possibly knock out Reigns. The angle didn’t convince anyone Paul could beat Reigns, but it made him look strong heading into Crown Jewel. This was a well-done angle to end SmackDown.
Logan Paul’s happy to be back in Ohio. He got a mixed reaction, with mostly boos. He knows he’s supposed to address the hard cam, but he talked to the crowd first. Paul promised to prove everyone wrong at Crown Jewel He noted he just needs one lucky shot to beat Roman Reigns.
Suddenly, Jey Uso jumped Paul from behind. He beat down Paul until Sami Zayn ran down. Zayn tried to get Jey to leave and noted that the order came from Roman Reigns.
Jey ignored Zayn and went to attack Paul again. Paul moved and knocked out Jey with a right hand. Cole noted Paul caught Jey with one lucky shot. Zayn was stunned and checked on Jey as Paul walked off to end SmackDown.
