WWE SmackDown live results: Final build to TLC

Friday Night SmackDown takes place from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin tonight and features the final build to TLC.

King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler humiliated Roman Reigns after he defeated Ziggler last week. Corbin and Ziggler chained Reigns to the ring post and covered him in dog food. Reigns takes on Corbin this Sunday night at the pay-per-view. Before that, Reigns is scheduled to appear tonight and promises to confront Corbin.

Plus, The Miz sits down for a one-on-one interview with Renee Young. WWE announced that the interview took place earlier today from The Miz’s home. Last week, The Miz promised to find out what happened to Daniel Bryan after “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt attacked him. Wyatt taunted Miz and attacked him as well. He also revealed a Mizanin family photo with Wyatt in Miz’s place.

Wyatt will face Miz at TLC. He won’t be wrestling as The Fiend, and his Universal Championship won’t be on the line.

SmackDown starts with King Corbin making his way to the ring. He was carried by his royal security and met Dolph Ziggler in the ring. Corbin noted he had a great 2019, including beating Kurt Angle in his final match, winning the King of The Ring, and is going to defeat Roman Reigns Sunday at TLC.

Once Corbin defeats Reigns, he’ll finally be the locker room leader. He pointed out he humiliated Reigns last week and is ready if Reigns shows up tonight. Corbin said he’s going to defeat Reigns and promised a new day. The fans chanted “You Look Stupid” at Corbin. 

Ziggler tried to lead the crowd in chanting “All Hail King Corbin.” Suddenly, New Day’s music hit and they came out. Kingston asked if someone said New Day. Corbin mocked Kingston for losing the WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar. 

Kingston noted he had a great year and won the WWE Championship. He pointed out that he also defeated Dolph Ziggler to retain the title. When Kingston lost the WWE Championship, he didn’t complain. He picked himself up, and now they’re the tag team champions.

Kingston mocked Corbin for wearing a crown and cape. He noted he didn’t like what they did to Reigns last week, and it was disrespectful. 

Corbin asked if Kingston was still talking. Kingston shoved Corbin in the face. Corbin promised to humiliate Kingston like he did Reigns.

They recapped the Bray Wyatt-Miz angle from last week. 

Kofi Kingston vs. King Corbin is official for later tonight. 

In the back, King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler entered their locker room. They found the entire royal security beaten up. Corbin and Ziggler wondered who could have attacked the security. They truly were perplexed. 

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville were in the ring.

They recapped the Fire & Desire and Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross feud. They focused on Rose ripping off Bliss’ eyelashes. 

In the back, Kayla Braxton interviewed Bliss and Cross behind the curtain. Rose and Deville ran down and jumped the faces. They brawled onto the stage and to the ring.

Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross defeated Fire & Desire 

The faces had the early advantage, but the heels took over. Deville and Rose attempted a double suplex on Cross, but Bliss pulled Rose out of the ring. Cross then hit the neck breaker on Deville for the win. 

In the back, Sami Zayn ran into Otis and Tucker. They gave Zayn a Christmas present, which was a Milwaukee ham. Zayn hated the gift and noted he’s a vegan. Otis apologized, but Zayn wouldn’t accept it. Zayn mocked Otis and insulted him. Otis and Tucker were upset, but Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro showed up. 

Zayn promised that his team is going to beat Heavy Machinery later tonight. Cesaro grabbed the ham and threw it to the crowd. The crowd booed Cesaro’s actions.

The Revival defeated Chad Gable & Mustafa Ali 

They announced SmackDown tag team champions New Day vs. The Revival in a ladder match for TLC.

Dash Wilder seemed to trip and fall as The Revival made their entrance. He played it off as if he was mocking Gable and Ali. 

This was a good match. The Revival isolated Gable and cut him off from his corner. Gable fought back and rolled up WIlder for a near fall. Wilder hit a backbreaker and tagged Dawson. Revival tried a powerbomb combo, but Gable caught Dawson and hit a power slam. 

Back from the break, Gable and Ali hit dives. Gable missed a moonsault but landed on his feet. Gable and Ali hit a back suplex/double foot stomp combo for a near fall. Dawson fought back and hit a tiger bomb for a close two count. 

In an awesome spot, Gable hit a rolling German suplex on Dawson, but Wilder hit a splash on Gable. Ali immediately hit a 450 splash on Wilder. 

Ali attempted a tornado DDT, but Dawson pushed him off. Ali tried the move again, but The Revival hit the Shatter Machine for the win. 

In the back, Kayla Braxton interviewed SmackDown Woman’s Champion Bayley. She noted Lacy Evans picked a fight with the wrong people. Bayley pointed out that Sasha Banks is recording an album. 

Suddenly, Elias started playing his guitar. Bayley approached Elias and Dana Brooke. She demanded Elias leave. Elias performed a song mocking Bayley and Banks, which Brooke found funny. Bayley then challenged Brooke to meet her in the ring. 

SmackDown Woman’s Champion Bayley defeated Dana Brooke 

Bayley slapped Brooke in the face to start the match. Brooke snapped and attacked Bayley. She hit a handspring elbow in the corner, but Bayley rocked Brooke with a clothesline. Bayley backed Brooke into the corner. She attempted a superplex, but Brooke countered into a powerbomb for a close near fall. Bayley attacked the knee and scored the quick win. 

They recapped the Bray Wyatt-Miz angle. 

Sheamus appeared in another vignette discussing his imminent return.  

Earlier today, Renee Young sat down with The Miz. Young thanked Miz for letting them in his beautiful home. She asked about the last time he saw Daniel Bryan. He said it was when “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt dragged him under the ring and pulled out his hair.

Young wondered why Miz cared about Bryan’s whereabouts. They aired footage from Talking Smack when Bryan and Miz had their famous confrontation. Miz discussed his history with Bryan and said it’s time to do the ring thing. 

Young pointed out that he now has to deal with Wyatt. Miz talked about all the mind games. Young asked Miz if he’s afraid.

Suddenly, Maryse started yelling. They watched their baby on the monitor. She was playing with Bray Wyatt’s dolls in the crib. Wyatt appeared on the screen, and Miz and Maryse ran to their baby. Miz found a toy in the crib, but Monroe was okay.

Wyatt hosted another edition of The Firefly Funhouse. Wyatt pointed out that nobody likes snitches. He warned that Bryan is still with The Fiend. Wyatt said he could train himself to feel no pain. He told Miz that he could teach himself not to love. All Miz has to do is let him in. He then yelled that Marine 5 was fire. 

Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro (w/ Sami Zayn) defeated Heavy Machinery 

Otis hit a big shoulder tackle and elbow for a close near fall. Nakamura hit a knee, and the heels briefly took over. Otis avoided a double clotheslines and Tucker hit a dive off the top. 

Back from the break, the heels were firmly in control. They isolated Tucker in their corner. Cesaro slowed the pace down with a chin lock.

Nakamura hit a running knee in the corner for a near fall. Tucker fought back and hit the Thesz press. Otis got the hot tag and ran wild. He hit a suplex and went for the splash, but Nakamura hit a knee. 

Nakamura attempted the Kinsaha, but Otis caught him. Cesaro made the save, and Otis went for the caterpillar. Zayn jumped on the apron and distracted Otis. Cesaro dumped Otis out of the ring, and Nakamura hit the Kinshasa on Tucker for the win.

They recapped Batista and the NWO (Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall & Sean Waltman) joining the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame Class. 

King Corbin (w/Dolph Ziggler) vs. Kofi Kingston (w/Big E)

Corbin came to the ring with a ton of security that surrounded the ring. 

Kingston had the early advantage and sent Corbin to the floor with a dropkick. Kingston followed up with a cross body to the floor. 

Back from the break, Corbin was firmly in control. He sent Kingston back first into the barricade. Corbin then smashed Kingston’s head into the ring post.

Kington made a brief comeback, but Corbin rocked him with a right hand. The fans chanted “Burger King” at Corbin. Kingston made a comeback and hit the SOS for a close near fall. 

Kingston hit the boom drop and set up for trouble in paradise. Ziggler grabbed Kingston’s leg, but the referee caught him. The referee ejected Ziggler from ringside. 

Ziggler ran back and attacked Big E. A brawl broke out, and the referee called for the bell. 

Big E grabbed the mic and demanded a tag team match. 

King Corbin & Dolph Ziggler vs. The New Day

Back from the break, the heels were firmly in control. They isolated Big E on their side of the ring. Big E hit a belly-to-belly suplex, and Kingston got the hot tag. He ran wild on Ziggler, but Corbin cut him off. 

Ziggler rocked Big E with a superkick on the floor. Corbin beat down Kingston and Ziggler pulled out handcuffs. They handcuffed Kingston, and the referee called for the bell. 

The heels beat down Kingston and chained him to the ring post. Corbin pulled out dog food from under the ring. The Revival showed up and hit the Shatter Machine on Big E.

Roman Reigns music hit, and he ran down. He beat up the security, The Revival and Ziggler. 

Corbin jumped Reigns from behind. Reigns fought back and rocked Corbin with a superman punch. 

Ziggler rocked Reigns with a superkick. The Revival held Reigns on the announce table as Ziggler climbed up a ladder. Big E recovered and attacked The Revival. Reigns climbed up the ladder and choke slammed Ziggler threw the table.
