WWE SmackDown live results: Crown Jewel fallout
The fallout from Crown Jewel takes place on tonight’s SmackDown from Wichita, Kansas.
Brock Lesnar has issued a threat to Universal Champion Roman Reigns after losing at Crown Jewel yesterday. The finish revolved around Paul Heyman throwing the Universal title in the ring, but it’s unclear if he was trying to help Reigns or Lesnar. Lesnar got the belt but dropped it when The Usos interfered, allowing Reigns to win. Heyman ended up leaving with Reigns.
“The moment I arrive at SmackDown, I will beat Roman Reigns senseless,” Lesnar said after Crown Jewel.
Tonight’s SmackDown will also be the first show where WWE’s post-draft rosters are in effect. With SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair each switching brands, WWE is teasing that they’ll be swapping their title belts tonight.
Plus, there will be a coronation for Xavier Woods following his King of the Ring win.

They recapped Roman Reigns defeating Brock Lesnar to retain the title at Crown Jewel.
Roman Reigns Segment
This was a good opening segment. Reigns and Lesnar were great in their roles. The entire angle took up the first 30 minutes of the show and featured a wild brawl.
Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman headed to the ring. Michael Cole and Pat McAfee discussed Lesnar’s tweet promising to show up tonight and beat Reigns senseless.
Reigns put his hand out, and Heyman handed him the mic. The fans erupted in boos. Reigns wondered if Heyman’s holding the title for him or Lesnar. He noted Heyman handed him the mic when he put his hand out. However, he didn’t hand him the belt yesterday when he put his hand out at Crown Jewel.
Reigns told Heyman he’s not good at his job. He then bragged about being good at his job and called himself the greatest Universal Champion of all time. Reigns listed everyone he beat this year, including Edge, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, and Brock Lesnar.
Reigns demanded Heyman read Lesnar’s tweet. He knocked the phone out of Heyman’s hand and mocked Lesnar. Reigns called out Lesnar and waited for him to come to the ring. Lesnar didn’t come out, and Reigns claimed Lesnar was scared. Reigns isn’t going anywhere and demanded that Lesnar comes to the ring as they went to a commercial.
Back from the break, Reigns was still talking in the ring. He noted Lesnar’s a no-show and wondered why Lesnar sent out the tweet. The fans broke into a loud “We want Lesnar” chant. Reigns waited long enough for Lesnar, so he decided to leave. Before Reigns could finish, Lesnar’s music hit to a big reaction.
Lesnar jumped in the ring and attacked Reigns. He sent Reigns to the floor, and they briefly brawled. Lesnar took over and tossed Reigns into the steps. Lensar and Heyman had a brief staredown.
Lesnar rocked Reigns with the steps and cleared the announce table. Lesnar set up for the F-5 through the table, but The Usos and referees ran out. Lesnar beat down The Usos but Reigns recovered. Lesnar pushed Reigns into the ring post to regain control. He grabbed the camera from the cameraman and threw it at Reigns. Reigns avoided, and Lesnar snapped. He attacked the referees and officials, so Adam Pearce sent down a bunch of wrestlers to stop him. Reigns took the opportunity to run to the back.
Lesnar beat down Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo. However, Cesaro, Rick Boogs, and Ivar convinced Lesnar to stop. Lensar jumped in the ring and posed with the Universal title to end the segment.
Back from the break, Adam Pearce was in the ring. He was furious that Lesnar attacked the referees and caused property damage. Pearce then indefinitely suspended Lesnar for endangering the superstars and officials.
Lesnar walked back out as the fans broke into a loud “Suplex City” chant. Lesnar grabbed Pearce by the neck and choked him. Pearce repeated that Lensar’s suspended. Lesnar then grabbed Pearce and gave him the F-5. He then picked up Pearce again and gave him a second F-5.
Back from the break, they recapped Lesnar attacking Pearce. Kayla Braxton tried to interview Sonya Deville, but she was on the phone. Naomi showed up and demanded a rematch, but Deville turned her down.
The roster members were standing in the background talking. Drew McIntrye showed up and promised to issue an open challenge.
Drew McIntrye defeated Sami Zayn (6:48)
McIntrye’s ready for a match and demanded someone accept his open challenge. Sami Zayn came out to new music to accept the challenge.
Zayn tried to stall, but McIntrye went after him and tossed him into the barricade. They immediately went to break.
Back from the break, Zayn was firmly in control, but McIntrye fought back. He backed Zayn into the corner and threw him across the ring with a belly-to-belly suplex.
McIntyre followed up with a neck breaker and set up for the Claymore. Zayn rolled out of the ring and hung McIntrye on the top rope to take over.
Zayn attempted the blue thunder bomb, but McIntrye countered with the Glasgow kiss. McIntrye missed a splash and hit the ring post.
Zayn then sent him into another ring post. He set up the helluva kick and did McIntyre’s countdown. Zayn went for the kick, but McIntrye countered with the Claymore for the win.
Hit Row debuts tonight.
The Coronation of King Xavier
This was a fun segment. Woods and Kingston were good in their roles. However, the first hour of the show only had 6:48 of wrestling.
Kofi Kingston made his way to the ring as they went to a commercial break. Back from the break, they showed highlights from Crown Jewel. They then recapped Xavier Woods beating Finn Balor to win the King of the Ring.
Kingston gave Woods a grand introduction to a big reaction. There was a throne, cloak, and crown set up in the ring. Kingston treated Woods like real royalty and gave him his cloak, scepter, and crown.
The fans erupted in a loud “You deserve it” chant. Kingston proclaimed Woods as the King and placed the crown on his head to a huge pop from the fans.
Woods thanked the fans. He promised that his reign would be fun but fair. Woods then demanded to hear the King’s gospel, and Kingston read a proclamation. Woods and Kingston celebrated to end the segment.
In the back, SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch discussed the championship exchange with Charlotte Flair later. Lynch never gave up a title before and noted she could leave as Becky Two Belts tonight.
They promoted the upcoming debut of Xia Li.
Mansoor defeated Mustafa Ali (2:36)
Ali and Mansoor had a good match while it lasted, although the fans didn’t seem into it.
Ali immediately went for a dropkick, but Mansoor avoided it. Mansoor took over and backdropped Ali out of the ring. He followed up with a flying crossbody for a near fall. Ali fought back and pulled Mansoor into the middle rope.
Ali hit a sitout powerbomb for a near fall. Mansoor regained control with a German suplex and clothesline. Ali fought back and attempted a sunset flip off the second turnbuckle. Mansoor reversed and pinned Ali for the win.
They aired a series of short promos from Ridge Holland, Aliyah, Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza, and Sheamus discussing joining the SmackDown brand.
Hit Row Debuts
HIt Row (Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, Top Dolla, and B-Fab) made their debut and introduced themselves as they made their entrance.
Hit Row (w/Ashante “Thee” Adonis & B-Fab) defeated Local Jobbers (1:17)
This was a total squash match. Scott and Top Dolla dominated and easily picked up the win. Top Dolla picked up both jobbers and slammed them down. The finish came when Hit Row hit a side slam/kick combo for the win.
They recapped Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns’ suspension angle.
In the back, Kayla Braxton interviewed Sonya Deville. She noted Adam Pearce isn’t doing good after Brock Lesnar attacked him earlier. Deville noted Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair exchange belts later, which could get out of control.
Non-title match: Happy Corbin (w/Madcap Moss) defeated Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura (w/Rick Boogs) (9:18)
This was a fine match.
Earlier today, Madcap Moss told a bad joke, and Corbin couldn’t stop laughing.
Nakamura had the early advantage and hit a sliding knee. Corbin tried fighting back, but Nakamura backed him into the corner. Corbin gained control after dropping Nakamura off the apron to the floor.
Back from the break, Corbin was firmly in control with a chin lock. Nakamura fought back, but Corbin hit the around-the-ring post clothesline for a near fall. Nakamura avoided a right hand and hit Corbin with a flying dropkick.
Nakamura ran wild and hit a knee in the corner for a two-count. Corbin avoided the Kinshasa and slammed Nakamura face-first for a near fall. Boogs played his guitar, and Nakamura fired up again. Nakamura went for the Kinshasa, but Moss grabbed Boogs’ guitar to cause a distraction.
Nakamura went after Moss, but Corbin took advantage and hit the End of Days for the win.
In the back, Charlotte Flair discussed the upcoming title exchange with Becky Lynch.
They recapped Becky Lynch defeating Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks at Crown Jewel.
SmackDown and Raw Women’s Championship Exchange
This was a strange segment. They simply traded the titles but teased having a match. Lynch acted like she wanted to leave with both titles but then just switched belts with Charlotte Flair. Lynch then walked off, and Sasha Banks and Flair became the main feud on SmackDown.
SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch made her entrance before the break. Sonya Deville was already in the ring back from the break as Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair made her way to the ring.
Michael Cole and Pat McAfee pushed the idea that Flair and Lynch might not exchange the belts. Deville recapped that Lynch and Flair were drafted to Raw and SmackDown, respectively. Deville demanded they trade the belts and the fans broke into a loud “Becky Two Belts” chant.
Lynch didn’t want to give up her belt and tried to grab the Raw title from Flair. Flair dropped the title on the mat instead of giving it to Lynch. Deville demanded that Flair pick up the belt and hand it to Lynch. Lynch then threw the SmackDown title at Flair and took the Raw title. Flair mocked Lynch and challenged her to a winner takes all match right now. The fans popped big.
Sasha Banks music hit, and she made her way to the ring. Banks noted she runs the SmackDown brand and got in Flair’s face. Lynch said she’s off to Raw and promised to see one of them at Survivor Series. Lynch walked off as the fans broke into a loud “Becky” chant.
Banks and Flair briefly argued before a brawl broke out. Banks sent Flair to the floor at hit the Meteora off the apron. Banks and Flair had a staredown to end SmackDown.
