WWE Raw live results: Super ShowDown fallout


The fallout from Super ShowDown takes place as the SAP Center in San Jose, California hosts tonight’s Raw.
Seth Rollins is still Universal Champion coming out of Saudi Arabia. Rollins retained his title against Baron Corbin at Super ShowDown, with Rollins rolling up Corbin after Corbin argued with the referee.
Corbin laid out Rollins with the End of Days after the match. Brock Lesnar then came out with his Money in the Bank briefcase, but Rollins low blowed Lesnar, repeatedly hit him with chair shots, and gave him a Curb Stomp on the briefcase, which Lesnar still holds after never officially cashing in.
Rollins will again defend the Universal title against Corbin at Stomping Grounds in Tacoma, Washington on June 23.
Becky Lynch is set to defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Lacey Evans at Stomping Grounds, and their feud will continue tonight.
Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins will defend the Raw Tag Team titles against The Revival and The Usos in a triple threat match tonight, Lars Sullivan will take on The Lucha House Party in a three-on-one elimination match, United States Champion Samoa Joe will appear on Miz TV, and Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre will celebrate Shane’s win against Roman Reigns from Super ShowDown.

Baron Corbin, who lost a Universal title match to Seth Rollins at Super Showdown, is getting a rematch at Stomping Grounds, and will get to select a special guest referee.
The Revival are the new Raw Tag Team Champions.
Bayley, the Smackdown Women’s Champion, was pinned in her hometown by the woman who is challenging for the Raw Women’s Championship.
The top contenders for both the Raw Women’s Championship and the Universal Championship lost cleanly in their last title matches, but for some reason, have been granted immediate rematches.

Seth Rollins came to the ring to kick off the show. He brought a steel chair with him.
A video package played, recapping Seth’s beatdown of Brock Lesnar at Super Showdown.
Rollins said he feels alive tonight. He said no one on the planet can lace his boots. He said anyone who wants to take the Universal title from him should ask Brock Lesnar how that goes. He said Brock has been in WWE since 2002, and no one has ever done to Lesnar what he did to him at Super Showdown.
Baron Corbin’s music played. Corbin entered to a chorus of boos. He told the crowd that the feeling is mutual. Corbin insulted the crowd in San Jose. He said he walked the streets there today, and he’s the best thing in town.
Corbin said that he’s going to beat Seth Rollins for the title at Stomping Grounds. Corbin said that referee John Cone cost him the match at Super Showdown. Corbin said he was in meetings with WWE executives all day, and that Cone will be punished.
Corbin says he was granted a rematch, and that he gets to pick a special guest referee for his rematch. Rollins said that no one likes Corbin, not the fans, not even his own dog, so who would want to be his referee?
Sami Zayn’s music played. Zayn came to the stage, and said he’s on Team Corbin on this one. He said he has known Seth for a long time, and cares about him as a person. He said being champion is not good for Seth, who is caught in a pool of toxic masculinity with Brock Lesnar.
Zayn said that it would be better for Seth as a person if Corbin were to become champion. He said that he stands to gain from Corbin being champion, because Corbin might grant him a favor.
Seth asked Zayn who would have his back if he came to the stage and slapped the taste out of his mouth. Kevin Owens entered, and said he has Sami’s back. Owens said he’s there tonight as a wild card, “…whatever that means anyway.”
Rollins challenged Owens to face him later on tonight. Rollins walked up the stage, right past all three heels, and his music played.
The announcers plugged a sit-down interview with Becky Lynch, and the tag title match.

Lars Sullivan entered, he faces the Lucha House Party in a 3-on-1 elimination match, coming up next.

Lars Sullivan defeated the Lucha House Party in a 3-on-1 handicap match.
Sullivan attacked the Lucha House Party before the bell. Kalisto started off as the legal man. He came off the top rope, right into a uranage from Lars. Lars pinned Kalisto immediately.
Lince Dorado was in next. He at a sit-out powerbomb, and was immediately pinned.
Gran Metalik attempted a handspring kick. Sullivan side-stepped, and hit a uranage. Sullivan covered, put pulled Metalik up after a two count.
Sullivan went after Kalisto on the floor. He attacked Kalisto, dropping him on the steps. He hit another uranage on Metalik, and again pulled him up after a two count.
Sullivan went after Dorado on the floor, then dropped him on the steps. Back in the ring, he hit a top rope diving headbutt on Metalik, then pinned him.

They cut backstage, where the usual geeks were chasing 24/7 Champion R-Truth and Carmella. Cedric Alexander, EC3, Heath Slater, Drake Maverick, R-Truth and Carmella climbed into an elevator. They are now trapped in the elevator.
Lacey Evans was shown backstage, primping. Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins were shown chatting backstage, as they cut to a commercial break.

From the announce desk, Michael Cole introduced Becky Lynch and Lacey Evans. They were in separate backstage locations. Both were shown via a split-screen.
Cole tried to ask Lynch a question. Evans cut him off, and said he should start with a lady. Becky said she’s obsessed with being champion. She’s mad at Lacey for costing her the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
Lacey said it’s not obsession that drives Becky, it’s fear of returning to obscurity. She promised to take Becky’s title and make her Becky One Belt at Stomping Grounds.
Becky told Lacey to put on her granny’s knickers that she calls wrestling gear, and she’ll see her in the ring later.
Bayley and Becky Lynch vs. Lacey Evans and Alexa Bliss was announced for later tonight.
They cut to the locker room, where Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross were having a chat. Alexa said that Bayley has made her feel unwelcome in WWE, and has treated her poorly. Nikki said she has Alexa’s back, and will be in her corner tonight. Alexa said she’s glad she’s Nikki’s friend now, because she feels like she can just be Lexi with her.

The Miz came out to host Miz TV. Cole threw to a Miz & Mrs. recap, where Miz was dancing in an attempt to entertain his daughter. Miz TV is next.

Back from break, they showed a highlight package of fans enjoying Super Showdown. Cole said that WWE is the only cross-cultural form of entertainment. Huh?
Miz introduced his guest, Samoa Joe. They both had their gear on, so a match is coming.
Joe said Miz is pushing a false narrative by calling him the new United States champ. He said Rey Mysterio stole the title from him, and Joe won it back. Miz was incredulous, and threw to a video of Rey relinquishing the title to Joe.
Miz said that Rey was a gentleman, and relinquished the belt to Joe, but Joe beat him up anyway. Miz said that Joe crossed a line by insulting Rey’s son, and that families should be off limits. Joe said the lines don’t apply to him, and maybe he should start talking about Miz’s family.
Braun Strowman’s music played. He said if Joe is looking for a challenger, maybe he should stop talking and get these hands. Strowman entered the ring.
Bobby Lashley came out. He said that he’s not done with Strowman yet. Lashley said he and Joe have history, and that Joe should defend his title against him.
Ricochet entered, and said he wants a title shot after beating Cesaro twice.
Cesaro came out, and attacked Ricochet on the stage. A brawl broke out. Strowman, Miz and Ricochet cleared the ring before another commercial break.

The Miz, Braun Strowman & Ricochet defeated Samoa Joe, Bobby Lashley & Cesaro
Lashley grabbed a wristlock. Strowman used a kip-up to escape, rolled under a leapfrog from Lashley. Miz tagged in, and hit a clothesline in the corner on Lashley. Joe cut Miz off with a clothesline from the apron. Cesaro got a tag, and used a chinlock. Miz broke the hold, and tagged Ricochet.
Ricochet hit a flying headscissors and a springboard clothesline on Cesaro, wiped out Lashley with a crossbody, then hit a tope con hilo to Cesaro, before a commercial.
Back from break, the heels were in control. Cesaro used a chinlock on Ricochet. Ricochet escaped with a jawbreaker, and hit a hurricanrana. Cesaro cut him off, then tagged Lashley. Ricochet hit an enziguri, then managed a tag to Miz.
Miz hit Lashley with double knees in the corner, then a clothesline. He knocked Joe off thr apron with a clothesline, then hit Lashley and Cesaro with DDTs. Miz hit It Kicks to Lashley and Cesaro. Lashley hit a flatliner, and tagged Joe.
Joe hit a senton, and made a cover. Strowman made the save for Miz. Cesaro tagged in and used a giant swing on Miz, while Lashley and Strowman brawled on the floor. Cesaro applied a sharpshooter, but Ricochet made the save, hitting him with a codebreaker.
Strowman got a hot tag. He hit a clothesline in the corner. Cesaro rolled outside, and Strowman hit a shoulder tackle on the floor. Back inside, Strowman made a cover, but Joe saved. Strowman went for a powerslam on Joe, but Joe escaped, and left with his title.
The match broke down. Lashley speared Strowman on the floor. Ricochet hit a dive onto Lashley. Back inside, Miz jumped off the top into an uppercut from Cesaro, which led to a nearfall.
Cesaro went for a Neutralizer, but Miz turned it into a Skull-Crushing Finale. Miz tagged Ricochet, who hit a 630 splash on Cesaro for the pin. The 630 hit Cesaro’s knee, and Cesaro sold his leg leaving the ring.

Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens was announced for later tonight.

Backstage, Charly Caruso asked Corbin who will be his referee at Stomping Grounds. Corbin said he’ll make some calls and have some interviews, but he has two weeks to decide. He said it will be someone good at their job, so it won’t be Charly.
Don’t besmirch Chuck’s good name.
Sami Zayn interrupted, and asked for a word with Corbin. They were shown chatting, before the camera cut away.

Becky Lynch came to the ring before a commercial. Lynch and Bayley vs. Lacey Evans and Alexa Bliss is next.

Lacey Evans & Alexa Bliss defeated Becky Lynch & Bayley
San Jose is Bayley’s hometown, so naturally she was pinned. Lynch sold most of the way, building to a hot tag to Bayley.
Bayley hit Bliss with a series of stomps in the corner, then hit a sliding lariat. Bliss used an armdrag takedown for a nearfall, then tagged Evans. Evans worked over Bayley, hitting an elbow drop for a nearfall.
Lynch got a tag. Evans cut her off with a boot to the stomach. Bliss got a tag, and Lynch backed her into the corner. She teased a Bexploder, but Evans grabbed her boot from the floor. Bayley sort of hit a sliding dropkick on Evans, and Lynch and Bayley stood tall before commercial.
Back from break, Bliss was working over Lynch. Bliss missed a standing moonsault, and tagged out. Evans used a chinlock, then a head-and-arm choke. Lynch powered out. Evans sent Lynch into the corner, and hit a modified bronco buster.
Lynch sent Evans outside, and hit a baseball slide. Bliss and Bayley brawled on the floor. Evans jumped back inside, and cut Lynch off. Evans used a swinging neckbreaker for a two count.
Evans missed her Best Moonsault Ever, and Lynch was finally able to tag out. Bayley hit a scary-looking buckle bomb on Bliss. Evans hit Lynch with a Woman’s Right on the floor, then nailed Bayley with one.
Bliss climbed to the top for Twisted Bliss. Evans made a blind tag. Bayley got the knees up on Twisted Bliss, but Evans jumped in and hit a second Woman’s Right on Bayley for the pin.

Shane McMahon was shown backstage. Sami Zayn asked him if he could be a second referee for the Rollins vs. Owens match later, in case Corbin asks him to be the guest ref at Stomping Grounds. Shane agreed.
Isn’t it funny that while ratings have been in a downward spiral, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H have been largely absent from TV, but Shane has been all over every show?
Remember when Hulk Hogan used to take himself off Nitro during the NBA Playoffs so he could claim credit for a ratings bump once the playoffs were over?

Cole congratulated John Cena on being announced as a cast member for the next Fast & The Furious movie.

Paul Heyman was in the ring for a promo. He mocked the crowd for cheering for a thug like Rollins, who beat up Lesnar with a chair and bragged about it.
Heyman said Rollins made a mistake in beating up Lesnar, because Lesnar still has Money in the Bank. Heyman said no more advance warning for when Lesnar is going to cash in.
Heyman said he’s not saying that Lesnar is there tonight, but he’s not saying he isn’t either. He said that Lesnar could be the referee at Stomping Grounds. He said that Lesnar is going to put a non-PG beatdown on Rollins when he is at his most vulnerable. He said that’s not a prediction, or even a spoiler, but a threat from the past and future Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar.

They cut to the 24/7 geeks in the elevator. EC3 pulled out a plastic fork in case they needed to start cannibalizing each other. R-Truth had a cell phone, but no service. Carmella instituted an elevator rule where you can only talk if you’re holding her hat.
R-Truth called Drake Maverick Hornswoggle. Drake said he’s not Hornswoggle, he’s just a very small man. They’re all still stuck in the elevator.
The Iiconics are in action, coming up next.

The Iiconics ran down the San Jose Sharks. They said they searched the globe for the best competition, and found their opponents tonight, two local competitors.
Peyton Royce & Billie Kay defeated Lisa Lace & Aliyah Mia
A very quick squash. Kay held up Mia in a Glam Slam, while Royce hit her with a sloppy running knee. Kay got the pin.

They replayed Roman Reigns’s post-match promo from Super Showdown. Reigns promised to beat Drew McIntyre at Stomping Grounds.

A sweaty, out-of-breath Shane McMahon cut a promo. He said he grew up in WWE, so he knows when something special comes along. He said Roman Reigns is special. He said he’s won every title imaginable, and the Royal Rumble twice. Roman has only won the Rumble once.
Shane said Roman has wins over Lesnar and Undertaker, but no wins over Shane. Shane thanked Drew for coaching and encouraging him in his victory over Roman.
Drew said that he’s going to hurt Roman at Stomping Grounds. He said Shane is the best in the world, but Drew is the most dangerous man. He promised to physically assault Roman and beat him until he’s unrecognizable.
The lads, wearing matching leather jackets, poured champagne into Shane’s World Cup trophy, then drank from it.
Shane said the party is going to continue now, and introduced The Revival. The Revival poured themselves some champagne, but Shane stopped them from drinking. He said their match is next, they can’t be drinking. He said they than party later, but only if they win the tag titles.

Charly interviewed Hawkins and Ryder. She called their WrestleMania win a Cinderella story. Hawkins said it isn’t midnight yet, their run isn’t over.
The Revival defeated Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder & The Usos to win the Raw Tag Team Championships.
Dawson and Ryder started off. Jimmy made a blind tag. Ryder hit a flapjack. Hawkins tagged in, and The Revival cut him off immediately. They sent him into the barricade before a commercial.
Back from break, Dawson had Hawkins in a chinlock. Jimmy made a blind tag, and hit a pescado. He used a Samoan Drop on Dawson for a nearfall. Hawkins made a blind tag on Dawson. Hawkins and Ryder hit some tandem offense on Jimmy, and Ryder got a nearfall.
Ryder missed a Rough Ryder on Jimmy. Jey tagged in. He ran wild with superkicks. Ryder hit a Rough Ryder on Jimmy, but Jey was now legal. Jey went to the top, and Dawson made a blind tag. Jey hit a splash, but Dawson jumped in and stole the pin. Half the match took place during the commercial, so I have no idea whether or not it was any good.
Chuck caught up with Rollins backstage. He said he’s ready for Sami and Kevin tonight, just like he was ready for Brock at Super Showdown.
Firefly Fun House is next.

The elevator geeks were still stuck in the elevator. They started singing “We Are Family”. The elevator opened, and more geeks tried to attack Truth. Carmella pulled him into the elevator, and they escaped.

In the Firefly Fun House, Ramblin’ Rabbit said Mercy the Buzzard tried to eat him again. Bray threatened to unleash The Fiend. Bray put on a clown nose, and beat the rabbit with a hammer.
Bray ate the rabbit’s guts, and said, yowie wowie, they were delicious. He then did a commercial for Ramblin’ Rabbit Breakfast Spread.
Bray signed off, reminding us that he’ll always light the way. All we have to do is let him in.
Rollins entered, the main event is up next.

Kevin Owens defeated Seth Rollins by disqualification.
Zayn made a big show of checking Rollins for foreign objects before the opening bell. Rollins had his ribs taped up. Zayn asked him if he had a knife under his kick pads.
Rollins escaped a wristlock, and used a crucifix for a nearfall. Zayn distracted the referee while Rollins used a schoolboy on Owens. Rollins hit punches in the corner, but Zayn jumped on the apron to cut him off.
Owens rolled outside, and Rollins hit a dropkick through the ropes. Rollins went out after him, but Zayn jumped in the way, saying that he needed to check on Owens. Owens used the distraction to hit a DDT on the floor, and we got a commercial break.
Owens had Rollins in a chinlock as they returned from commercial. KO hit a dropkick to the back. Rollins hit slingblade. Owens cut him off with a knee lift. Owens went for a swanton, but Rollins got his knees up.
They exchanged superkicks. Rollins hit an enziguri. He went to the top rope, but Zayn jumped in and put himself in front of Owens. Owens used a schoolboy for a nearfall.
Rollins sent Owens outside, and took out both Owens and Zayn with a suicide dive. Rollins hit a curb stomp, but Zayn pulled the referee out of the ring before he could count the pin.
Rollins grabbed Zayn by the shirt, and Zayn called for the bell.
Rollins attacked Zayn. Baron Corbin ran in, and attacked Rollins. Corbin grabbed a chair. Rollins hit a kick to the gut, and Corbin bailed. Rollins hit Zayn with the chair, as Corbin looked on from the ramp.
Rollins tore Zayn’s referee shirt off, and hit him with a curb stomp. Rollins posed with the Universal title, while Corbin backed up the stage.
