Show Recap —
As Judgment Day entered, Jimmy Smith mentioned that Daniel Cormier would be the special referee in the Seth Rollins/Matt Riddle fight pit match and that it was Ariel Helwani who broke the news.
Judgment Day promo
Finn Bálor warned Edge that you could only outrun fate for so long. Judgment would come for Edge and Bálor would deliver his fate by making him say “I quit.”
Damian Priest issued a warning to their opponents tonight, AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio. The crowd chanted, “who’s your daddy” at Dominik. Dom said Rey wasn’t his father because he hated him. Bálor went on about Styles until Styles’s music interrupted.
Styles and Rey cleared the ring ahead of a commercial break.
Finn Bálor & Damian Priest (w/Rhea Ripley & Dominik Mysterio) defeated AJ Styles & Rey Mysterio (11:00)
The match started during the break and the heels maintained control through a second break. They worked over Styles and he couldn’t make a tag because Rhea Ripley yanked Rey off the apron. Styles fought back and hit Bálor and Priest with a double DDT which got a big reaction.
Rey recovered and confronted Ripley but Dominik got between them. Dom again dared Rey to hit him but he didn’t. Rey was about to get back to the ring but Ripley clotheslined him.
Styles looked for a tag but no one was there, so Bálor hit him with a dropkick and Coup de Grace for the pinfall win.
They cheated of course but this was a pretty one-sided win for Judgment Day.
— After the match, Rey tried to help Styles but Styles was pissed and blamed the loss on Rey. Rey accepted the blame but Styles still shoved him to the mat. Rey left and Styles looked immediately regretful.
Bálor attacked Styles from behind and Judgment Day laid him out.

Kevin Patrick asked Bobby Lashley about his dominant three-month title reign. Lashley didn’t realize it had been three months already. Lashley said the man makes the title and he’s beaten the best during his time in the company including Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins. He wanted to face someone with the same desire as him.
Mustafa Ali approached Lashley. Ali had that same desire but he’s been waiting in the back for someone to call his number. He was tired of waiting. Lashley knew Ali was grinding but basically told him to keep working until he was ready. Ali was pissed and demanded a match. Lashley didn’t like how comfortable everyone suddenly was disrespecting him. He accepted the match.
********
In the back, Sami Zayn and Jimmy Uso were laughing over a story Zayn told. Solo Sikoa wasn’t amused. Jey Uso approached them and wasn’t impressed, either. He thought they should be taking care of business. Jimmy told him to relax. Zayn agreed it was time to put fools on notice.
The Bloodline approached the Street Profits who happened to be nearby. Zayn told them they should be ready to acknowledge Roman Reigns next week. Montez Ford was about to tell him to acknowledge “these nuts” but Angelo Dawkins stopped him.
The Usos wanted him to continue so they’d have an excuse to beat him up. They noted that Ford had a walking boot over an apparently injured foot. Dawkins threatened to stick his foot up Jey’s ass. Sikoa got in Dawkins’ face but Zayn calmed things down and they left.

United States Champion Bobby Lashley defeated Mustafa Ali in a non-title match (11:29)
Lashley was in control after a break but Ali hit a 450 splash specifically targeting Lashley’s arm. Lashley came right back with a chokeslam and was surprised when Ali kicked out. Lashley followed with a Dominator but was again surprised that Ali kicked out. Lashley advised Ali to stay down so Ali slapped him.
Lashley chucked him out of the ring and drove him twice into the ring post. Lashley also tossed him into the timekeeper’s area but Ali just barely broke the ten count. Lashley followed with a spear and applied the Hurt Lock. Ali refused to quit but he passed out. Lashley wins.
— Lashley was going to help Ali to his feet after the match but Seth Rollins ran in from behind and attacked him. Rollins laid out Lashley with two curb stomps, with the last one driving Lashley’s face into the US title belt. Rollins also stomped Ali outside the ring.
[SECOND HOUR]
Seth Rollins/Matt Riddle face-to-face
Rollins spoke about the fight pit and they played a video package hyping the fight pit match. The video included highlights from previous fight pit matches with Timothy Thatcher against Riddle and Tommaso Ciampa.
Riddle entered and was baffled at Rollins calling himself the king of the fight pit. Rollins reminded him that they have a no-contact rule tonight. Riddle told him not to worry, he didn’t plan on putting any more stitches on his face (Rollins had a visible cut on his forehead).
Riddle was willing to wait until Extreme Rules where he wouldn’t just beat Rollins, he would kill him. Daniel Cormier would need to pull Riddle away as he hammered away at Rollins’ lifeless body. Riddle said the crowd would be singing “bro” to the tune of Rollins’ music. Rollins informed him that Cormier would be on Rollins’ side because Cormier was a fan of his.
Rollins tried to egg him on about not being able to see his kids and having to pay child support. Riddle brushed it off. He asked Rollins when was the last time he held a championship. In the last title match he had, he got choked out by Roman Reigns. He also wondered when was the last time Rollins main evented WrestleMania but realized he never has — but his wife Becky Lynch has.
Rollins was pissed and they argued until Daniel Cormier appeared on the screen. Cormier told them to cut it out. He hyped the match for Saturday and told them to train hard and train smart. Rollins knocked the hat off Riddle’s head before leaving. Riddle posed for the crowd.
********
Candice LaRae walked through the back and walked by Bianca Belair, Asuka and Alexa Bliss. Belair wished her luck in her match.
A QR code appeared on the screen during this segment.
Elsewhere, Miz spoke to Maryse on the phone. Dexter Lumis appeared behind him for a moment. I think Lumis tried to grab Miz but Miz unknowingly avoided it.
********
Dakota Kai (w/Bayley & IYO SKY) defeated Candice LaRae (11:02)
After a break, Kai took control with a boot and hit rapid kicks to the head but LaRae avoided a running corner boot by hitting a boot of her own. They battled on the turnbuckles until LaRae broke Kai down from the middle rope with a German suplex.
SKY distracted the referee as Bayley tripped LaRae off the middle rope. That allowed Kai to roll her up for the pinfall win.
(The crowd seemed to be getting into it after the suplex but the abrupt interference finish brought this to a halt.)
********
Johnny Gargano walked through the back. Lumis sat on an equipment box with a knocked-out Miz in his arms. Gargano seemed to notice it out of the corner of his eye but when he turned around to look, Lumis was already gone. Miz woke up and freaked out when he noticed he was holding a drawing of himself with Lumis.
Elsewhere, Sarah Schreiber interviewed Bayley who bragged about Kai’s win. She planned on doing Belair a favour and said it would be just the two of them in the ring for the contract signing. She warned Belair that this is what she asked for.
********
The announcers spoke about Antonio Inoki. A memorial graphic aired and the crowd respectfully applauded.
********
There was a Chad Gable video where he spoke about his match against Braun Strowman. It included old clips with the two of them together. Gable claimed he trained Strowman and said he had Strowman’s first match. Gable was ready for Strowman.
Otis (w/Chad Gable & Austin Theory) defeated Johnny Gargano (6:39)
Otis was in control but Gargano fought back with a DDT and superkick for two. They spilled to the outside so Gargano took the opportunity to attack Theory. Gargano gave Otis another DDT, this time on the outside. However, Theory hit Gargano in the back with the MITB briefcase and the ref didn’t notice. Otis followed with World’s Strongest Slam for the win.
— Theory, Otis and Gable attacked Gargano after the match but Strowman ran out to make the save. He ran over Otis before chucking Gable in the ring to start their match.
Braun Strowman defeated Chad Gable (7:05)
Otis launched Strowman over the announce table during a break so the referee kicked him out. Gable maintained control after driving Strowman into the ring post.
Gable gave Strowman an awesome German suplex which impressed the crowd. Gable was on fire and followed with a running dropkick but he missed a moonsault and Strowman booted him. Strowman finished him off with a powerbomb for the pinfall win.
(Omos was shown watching this with MVP in the back.)
[THIRD HOUR]
A trainer checked on Lashley. Patrick asked how he was doing. Lashley wanted to crush Rollins’ throat so we wouldn’t have to hear him cackle again. When Riddle was done with him at Extreme Rules, Lashley wanted him in the ring on Raw next week. Lashley would put the title on the line because there would be no excuses when he put Rollins in the Hurt Lock and made him scream.
********
Bianca Belair/Bayley contract signing
Graves hosted and he said the title match on Saturday would be the first time the Women’s championship would be defended in a ladder match.
Bayley droned on about her plan coming to fruition until she decided to explain why she chose a ladder match. The match was symbolic for the climb she had to take to the top, unlike Belair. Bayley suggested that the fans turned on her when she did reach the top and now she’s finding her way back there. She was rambling so Belair told her to shut up.
Belair signed the contract. Belair said the fans stopped caring about Bayley because she was pretending to be someone she was not. Bayley didn’t evolve, she’s only now showing her true colours. She congratulated Bayley on taking an entire year to come up with this grand plan.
Bayley heard enough and started to wonder where her friends were. A camera in the back showed that Kai and SKY were beating up Asuka and Bliss. Bayley used the distraction to attack Belair. Belair fought her off and sprinted to the back but Kai and SKY were gone. Bayley laughed because her plan worked.
Belair checked on Asuka who appeared to have an injured leg. Bliss looked into the camera and challenged SKY to a match tonight.

The announcers plugged Wednesday’s NXT and Saturday’s Extreme Rules.
Solo Sikoa (w/The Usos & Sami Zayn) defeated Angelo Dawkins (w/Montez Ford) (12:02)
Sikoa had full control until Dawkins came back with an enziguri, spinning back elbow and Silencer for two. Jey and Sami argued on the apron as Sikoa hit a superkick. He seemed to have it won but the ref was distracted which allowed Dawkins enough time to kick out. Sikoa wasn’t happy with them and he stared down Zayn.
The Usos and Zayn argued again after Dawkins knocked Sikoa out of the ring. As the three of them argued, Dawkins wiped them out with a dive but Zayn moved at the last second so only the Usos got knocked down. Zayn yelled at Dawkins for going after his family so Dawkins punched him.
The extra time allowed Sikoa to hit Dawkins with a spinning heel kick when he got back in the ring. Sikoa then hit the Spinning Solo (spinning Rock Bottom) for the pinfall win.
********
Theory told Alpha Academy that he was challenging Gargano to a match next week.
Edge promo
Edge did a pre-taped promo. He said this version of Edge you’re seeing is pretty much himself. It’s Adam. The veil of character has pretty much been dropped.
He spoke about coming back after being told that his career was over 11 years ago and it was getting harder now at age 46. He doesn’t want you to feel bad for him, because this is his dream and it’s his choice.
But it wasn’t just hard on him anymore, it was hard on his family. He didn’t have this family before. He can’t ignore it when his daughters hear him coming down the stairs in the morning and it sounds like a symphony of bones cracking.
Edge gave Judgment Day credit. He also knew that Rey wanted to distance himself because of Dominik. But you can ask Randy Orton or John Cena, Edge will always come swinging even if he has to do it alone.
He warned Bálor and Judgment Day that there was nothing they could do to him physically that would make him say “I quit.” He hoped they were ready, because he was.

IYO SKY (w/Bayley & Dakota Kai) defeated Alexa Bliss (w/Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair) (9:19)
After a break, SKY hit a double knee strike in the corner but she missed a moonsault and Bliss hit a DDT. Bliss hit Twisted Bliss but Bayley distracted the referee. Belair went after her but Bayley and Kai pushed her into the steel steps.
Bliss wiped out the heels with a dive and went to the top but SKY grabbed her and hit an Air Raid Crash followed by a moonsault for the pinfall win.
— Damage CTRL attacked Bliss after the match and hit Belair with a ladder. Asuka limped out and tried to make a save but they hit her with the ladder too.
Bayley, Kai and SKY continued the beat down until they posed on a ladder with their title belts.
(The announcers plugged Extreme Rules and next week’s Raw one last time as the show ended.)
