– Big Cass (w/ Enzo Amore) defeated Jinder Mahal

Enzo and Cass opened with their normal spiel, leading to the match. They really got the crowd fired up, and did really well setting up the rest of the show. Cass hit a sidewalk slam, followed by an elbow before hitting a big boot for the win. Pretty good pop for the finish.

– Golden Truth & Curtis Axel defeated The Shining Stars & Titus O’Neil

Golden Truth got a huge pop for their entrance, but Axel got virtually no reaction for his. The Shining Stars were just kind of there, and O’Neil was mildly over. R-Truth started for the face team, then there was suddenly a mass of “Axelmania” and “We want Axel” chants.

Axel cleaned house, Hulked up, and hit a big boot and leg drop before O’Neil broke up the count. Axel eventually got the pin on O’Neil. After it was over, O’Neil buried Portland and demanded another match. Sin Cara came out to answer the challenge.

– Sin Cara defeated Titus O’Neil

This went about 45 seconds before Sin Cara got the win.

– Neville then cut a promo further burying Portland. When he was done, he dropped the mic, and the ref caught it on one bounce.

– Austin Aries defeated WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville in a non-title match

Aries was super over, though Neville got a good reaction as well. Aries drilled Neville with an elbow for the clean pin. The finish got a huge pop.

– Raw Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson defeated The New Day and Cesaro & Sheamus to retain their titles.

New Day came out with an ice cream cart. Cesaro was easily the most over person in this match. Anderson got the pin with a rope assisted roll-up.

The New Day and Cesaro wanted Sheamus to dance after the match, and after standing in the middle of the ring looking like he might do it, Sheamus slid out of the ring and ran up the ramp. Cesaro gave chase to Sheamus, with them coming back out to the arena floor a moment later. Sheamus danced for about half a second shortly after demanding no one records or takes pictures of it.

– Raw Women’s Champion Bayley, Sasha Banks & Dana Brooke defeated Charlotte, Nia Jax &  Alicia Fox

Bayley was super over, as were Banks and Charlotte, but to a slightly lesser extent. Bayley got the hot tag, then got another big pop on the pin on Charlotte after a Bayley-to-Belly.

– Kevin Owens came out for a promo. He buried Portland, specifically because it’s so cold. He went on to say everyone in the crowd all have cold hearts for not standing and cheering for his entrance.

– Sami Zayn defeated Kevin Owens by DQ

Owens was another one in contention for most over wrestler on the show, but Zayn didn’t get as good of a reaction. The match was pretty short. Zayn had control for a while, but Samoa Joe ran in for an ambush on him for the DQ.

They did a post-match beatdown on Zayn, with vociferous “Y2J” chants from the audience. The beatdown continued, and the crowd shifted to a “We want Balor” chant. But Roman Reigns came out to make the save. Reigns then cut a promo saying there needs to be a real main event for the show, and it should be a tag match. Reigns got a mixed reaction at first, but it switched to mostly cheers.

– Roman Reigns & Sami Zayn defeated Kevin Owens & Samoa Joe

This was a very slow paced match until the last couple minutes. My personal favorite spot of the night came when Owens slid out of the ring, then ripped up a fan’s sign, then went back in the ring for a moment, then ended up back outside where he proceeded to take a part of the same sign he had just ripped up from off the floor and ripped it up even more.

There were good bits of back-and-forth action in the closing moments of the match, leading to Reigns pinning Owens with a spear.
