– United States Champion Bobby Roode defeated Jinder Mahal (w/ Sunil Singh) and Baron Corbin in a triple threat match to retain his title
They had an okay match, though it was basically two-on-one with the heels teaming up against Roode.
The finish came when Singh jumped onto the apron to distract Roode. Mahal went for the Khallas, but Roode reversed out of it and hit the Glorious DDT to retain.
– Mojo Rawley defeated Tye Dillinger
There were multiple “This is boring” chants for this. Rawley raked Dillinger’s eyes and then hit a punch for the win.
– The New Day defeated Mike Kanellis & Primo
They did a bunch of comedy, then New Day won with a double-team finisher on Primo.
– SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair defeated Natalya, Becky Lynch, Lana, and Carmella in a fatal five-way match to retain her title
Another okay match. Charlotte and Natalya got the biggest reactions coming out, and people chanted “Rusev Day” for Lana.
Lana and Carmella teamed up on Charlotte, Carmella did what looked like a botched Frankensteiner on Lynch from the top rope, and Charlotte speared Natalya and submitted her to retain.
– The Bludgeon Brothers defeated Breezango
For some comedy before the match, someone from each team slapped their partner’s chest. Harper and Rowan then beat them down quickly.
– Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Dolph Ziggler
They had a solid match. The finish came when Nakamura missed a Kinshasa, Ziggler countered with a small package for a near fall, and Nakamura finally hit the Kinshasa.
Referee Charles Robinson carried Ziggler up the ramp and to the back as he sold that he was completely knocked out.
– WWE Champion AJ Styles defeated Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a triple threat match to retain his title
This was probably the match of the night. Unlike the other triple threat, it was pretty fair as Owens and Zayn didn’t gang up on Styles too much.
Styles put the Calf Crusher on Zayn, but Owens broke it up. Owens was working with Zayn, but he went for a pop-up powerbomb on him. Zayn avoided it and countered it into a rope-run tornado DDT.
Styles eventually hit the Phenomenal Forearm on Owens for the pin.
