WWE Minneapolis, MN, live results: Brock Lesnar vs. The Miz

Submitted by reader Ben Gabyrch
– Braun Strowman defeated Elias
Strowman won pretty easily, but this was fun.
– Cedric Alexander defeated TJP
This was entertaining and had good back-and-forth action. TJP put up more of a fight than I expected.
– The Revival defeated Heath Slater & Rhyno
Both teams interacted with the crowd a lot.
– Universal Champion Brock Lesnar (w/ Paul Heyman) defeated Intercontinental Champion The Miz (w/ Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas)
This was billed as a “champion vs. champion” match and both kept their titles. Lesnar hit three German suplexes on Miz, then Dallas and Axel came into the ring and were suplexed as well. Lesnar gave Miz another one before hitting F-5s on all three of them.
Without there being a pin, the referee called for the bell after Lesnar gave Miz the F-5. The match went a bit over a minute. Lesnar then hit an F-5 on the ref.
– Apollo defeated Curt Hawkins
Hawkins lost after a good back-and forth match. He then cut a promo about how the crowd missed history by him not breaking his losing streak, challenging someone else from the locker room to come out and fight him.
– Goldust defeated Curt Hawkins
This was a funny segment, with Hawkins getting squashed. Hawkins is very good with the losing streak gimmick.
– Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss (w/ Mickie James) defeated Bayley and Sasha Banks in a triple threat match to retain her title
Bliss rolled up Bayley to retain after a distraction from James. This started off with Bliss avoiding Bayley and Banks on the outside and continued like that for a fourth of the match. That went on too long, but it was a good match aside from that.
– Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins defeated Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus by DQ
The champions were disqualified when Sheamus hit Rollins in the back with a chair. Most of the match was Rollins getting beat up while trying to make the hot tag to Reigns.
Cesaro and Sheamus celebrated after the DQ, but Reigns and Rollins got their revenge and stood tall by hitting a Shield powerbomb.
One note from the show: Finn Balor had been advertised since tickets went on sale, but he tweeted his schedule before the show and it only had Raw’s other events this weekend.
