WWE Fairfax & Syracuse live results: Sunday night house shows

Submitted by Jason Torres from Raw’s Sunday night house show in Fairfax, Virginia

– Raw Tag Team Champions The Revival defeated Bobby Roode & Chad Gable to retain their titles

They had a back-and-forth match. Gable worked most of it, and Dash Wilder got the win for The Revival by holding onto Gable’s tights. The crowd was into the match.

– Lacey Evans defeated Dana Brooke and Natalya in a triple threat match

Evans won with a roll-up on Brooke. Evans’ work was a little sloppy, but she carries herself well as a heel.

– Heavy Machinery defeated The Ascension

They played a clip before the match where The Ascension insulted Otis to Tucker. Heavy Machinery won with The Compactor. 

– WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks & Bayley defeated The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott & Liv Morgan) to retain their titles

Sarah Logan got kicked out for cheating. Bayley pinned Morgan after hitting the Bayley-to-Belly.

– Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor defeated Bobby Lashley & Lio Rush to retain his title

Rush started by insulting the city. Balor got a big reaction, and he pinned Rush with the Coup de Grace.

– Apollo Crews interrupted Elias’ concert and they sang a duet of “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.” Elias attacked Crews, but Crews sent him running.

– Drew McIntyre defeated Dean Ambrose

McIntyre issued an open challenge and Ambrose answered it. McIntyre won clean with the Claymore Kick.

– Braun Strowman defeated Baron Corbin in a no DQ match

Strowman put Corbin through a table to win.

– SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos defeated Cesaro & Sheamus to retain their titles

This was a fun match and had good action, but it wasn’t anything spectacular. The last three or four minutes were pretty hot, with the crowd liking The Usos and booing Cesaro & Sheamus.

– Mandy Rose defeated Naomi

The match had good heat at the start. There was lots of stalling and chasing around ringside. The finish came when Rose pulled Naomi into the turnbuckle, rolled her up, and snuck her feet on the middle rope for leverage.

The crowd loved Naomi. Rose also got some noticeable support from male fans.

– United States Champion R-Truth (w/ Carmella) defeated Andrade to retain his title

R-Truth worked the crowd for a while and there was a dance break. Truth got one of the best reactions all night.

The match was by the numbers. After it was over, R-Truth and Carmella got four kids to come into the ring to dance.

– WWE Champion Daniel Bryan defeated AJ Styles to retain his title

Bryan retained with a small package. He stalled a lot at the start. Rowan got ejected from ringside, which got a huge pop. Bryan got in lots of mat wrestling and Styles hit a Phenomenal Forearm from the ring to the floor by the entrance ramp at one point.

Rowan quickly hit the ring after the finish, but Styles fought back and hit the Styles Clash on Bryan to send people into intermission happy.

– Nikki Cross defeated Peyton Royce

Cross got a good pop but was still new to a lot of the crowd. Royce and Billie Kay did some mic work.

– Nikki Cross defeated Billie Kay

Cross won in 30 seconds.

– Mustafa Ali, The Miz & Jeff Hardy defeated Samoa Joe, Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev (w/ Lana)

This had comedy and fun six-man action, but there wasn’t anything serious here. There were heavy “Rusev Day” chants. Lana proclaimed that Rusev Day is dead, then Miz turned it into Miz Day.

Ali pinned Joe after hitting a 450.

– SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka defeated Charlotte Flair to retain her title

Asuka retained with the Asuka Lock to win a good match. Charlotte got one of the biggest pops of the night.

Mandy Rose came out to assist Charlotte at one point for a near fall. A good amount of the crowd left before the main event and during the ring introductions. Many people were also very disappointed with Becky Lynch not being on the show.
