– Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Dolph Ziggler

This was a great opener to start the show and there were several false finishes. Ziggler hit the famouser and the Zig-Zag for long two counts, but Nakamura used the Kinshasa to win it.

– Breezango & Sin Cara defeated Aiden English, Erick Rowan & Epico

Everyone hit their spots in this, with Sin Cara pinning Epico after botching some moves. It was a weird match that seemed thrown together.

English cut a promo saying that he didn’t lose. He challenged anyone in the back, which led to the next match.

– Zack Ryder defeated Aiden English

Ryder answered the challenge and won in 10 seconds with the Rough Ryder.

– SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos defeated The New Day to retain their titles

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were the New Day team in this one. It was as good as the previous matches they’ve had. Both teams ran interference at times, with The Usos ultimately winning by rolling up Kingston.

– WWE Champion Jinder Mahal defeated AJ Styles to retain his title

Styles was over huge in his home state. He was highly competitive in the match, but Mahal also looked great. This had several false finishes as well.

The Singh Brothers interfered and helped Mahal get out of the Calf Crusher. Styles took one of them out, but Mahal hit the Khallas to retain. The Singh Brothers attacked Styles after the bell, but he fought them off and hit the Styles Clash on one of them. He then celebrated with the fans.

– SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi, Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch defeated Natalya, Tamina, Carmella & Lana

Naomi pinned Carmella after hitting the Rear View. The face team was really over during this. It had a lot of grappling and mat wrestling, with the faces also doing a big spot where they hit a triple baseball slide on all four heels.

– Baron Corbin defeated Sami Zayn

Zayn got a huge pop and Corbin got a noticeable one. Corbin was dominant from the start as Zayn got very little offense early. Zayn got it going midway through, but Corbin countered a Helluva Kick attempt into the End of Days to pick up the victory.

– John Cena defeated Rusev

Cena came out to the biggest pop of the night. Rusev controlled a lot of the match, bringing in his flag several times to promote their match at Battleground.

For the finishing sequence, Cena went for the Attitude Adjustment but the referee got knocked down. He locked in the STF and Rusev tapped, but there was no ref to call for the bell. Cena went and got the ref, but Rusev him with a low blow. Cena kicked out at two, then Rusev grabbed a steel chair. He missed with a chair shot and Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment to win.
