WWE Butte, MT, live results: Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman

Submitted by Trevor Funseth
– The show opened with Baron Corbin cutting a promo on the video screen as the acting general manager of Raw. He said he’ll have a match with Finn Balor that will be an easy win.
– The B-Team defeated The Revival
The B-Team chants carried through nearly the entire match. Curtis Axel got a hot tag and eventually rolled up Dash Wilder for the win.
– Mojo Rawley defeated Tyler Breeze
This was nothing special. Rawley got heavy boos from the audience and did great heel interactions with them. He won with his shoulder tackle.
– Jinder Mahal & AOP defeated Apollo Crews, Heath Slater & Rhyno
Sunil Singh introduced Mahal — who got heavy boos. Mahal cut a short promo to introduce AOP. There were a lot of boos for the heels, and they isolated Crews for most of the match. There were also “ECW” and “Rhyno” chants throughout.
Singh kept interfering before Titus O’Neil ran in and chased him out of the arena. The place exploded when Rhyno got the hot tag from Crews. Everyone got in the ring, it cleared, and Rezar pinned Rhyno after the Last Chapter.
– Finn Balor defeated Baron Corbin by DQ
Balor was the strong crowd favorite. Corbin was in control most of the match. Balor made a comeback and got on the top rope for the Coup de Grace, but Kevin Owens ran in and attacked Balor for the disqualification.
Corbin got on the microphone and ordered for it to be restarted as a two-on-one handicap match. Bobby Lashley ran down for the save, Corbin and Owens ran up the ramp, and Lashley got on the mic and called them cowards and challenged them to a tag match. They accepted.
– Finn Balor & Bobby Lashley defeated Baron Corbin & Kevin Owens
The heels beat up on Balor while Lashley got a chair. Owens also got a chair and they taunted each other, but nothing came of it. Lashley got a hot tag from Balor, he took out both heels, and he set up Owens to get hit with the Coup de Grace for the finish.
– Bobby Roode & Chad Gable defeated The Ascension
This was a shorter match and nothing special. Gable pinned Viktor.
– Bayley, Ember Moon, Dana Brooke & Natalya defeated Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, Mickie James & Alicia Fox
The crowd heavily supported the faces. Moon got beat up for a long time until Natalya got a hot tag. Liv Morgan interfered multiple times, but Natalya submitted Logan with the Sharpshooter for the win.
– Universal Champion Roman Reigns defeated Braun Strowman by DQ
Strowman got a mostly positive reaction. Reigns was cheered by about 75 percent of the fans and booed by the rest. There were multiple “Roman” chants throughout the match and a couple “Get These Hands” chants.
Reigns used multiple Superman punches. Strowman hit Reigns with the stairs but wasn’t disqualified for some reason. Reigns was getting ready to hit the spear when Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre ran in for the disqualification.
The heels beat up on Reigns and got a table out, but Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose came out to a massive pop. The Shield fought Strowman and McIntyre out of the ring and then gave Ziggler a triple powerbomb through a table to close the show.
