WWE Bologna, Italy, live results: Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman

This was easily the best live event I’ve seen in Italy with a lot of talent up and down the card. The crowd was hot for nearly everything on the show, cheering the faces during the heat and their comebacks and booing the heels when they took the upper hand.
They aired a lot of WWE commercials before the show featuring Undertaker, resulting in a lot of “Thank you ‘Taker chants” before the first match started.
– Raw Tag Team Champions The Hardys defeated Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows, Sheamus & Cesaro, and Enzo Amore & Big Cass to retain their titles
People liked all these teams, with Enzo & Cass, the Hardys, and Cesaro getting big reactions. There were lots of “Delete” chants. The Hardys retained as Jeff hit a swanton bomb on Anderson. This was a solid, action-packed match.
– WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville defeated Austin Aries to retain his title
The audience reacted to these guys better than virtually every Raw crowd. Aries got a lot of chants before the match started and Neville was hated. Neville tried to avoid fighting at the beginning of the match. The action was good when it got going, with Neville winning with the Rings of Saturn.
– Golden Truth, Heath Slater & Rhyno defeated Bo Dallas, Titus O’Neil, Curt Hawkins & Curtis Axel
This was a nothing match, but the crowd had a good time with the comedy spots. There was a spot early in the match where Goldust hit an atomic drop on every opponent and went to hit one on the ref before his partners stopped him. Rhyno got the pin with a spinebuster on Dallas.
– Roman Reigns defeated Braun Strowman
Strowman came out to a huge reaction and chants of “Thank you Strowman.” He cut a promo saying he broke Reigns and that he demanded a match. A referee came out and Strowman said that he had to raise his hand. Reigns’ music hit to a thunderous reaction, though it was more boos than cheers.
Both Reigns and Strowman were heavily taped and selling their injuries from Payback. They brawled outside the ring for the most part. The finish saw Strowman put a table in the corner only to get speared through it by Reigns. Reigns’ music hit and the bell rang, but it was never made clear that this was a tables match or anything.
– Sasha Banks, Bayley & Mickie James defeated Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, Emma & Nia Jax
People loved Banks and Bayley. The match was okay and ended when Bayley pinned Emma after a Bayley-to-Belly.
– Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose defeated The Miz (w/ Maryse) to retain his title
A portion of the crowd cheered The Miz. He cut a promo saying that he would talk slowly so people could understand him and then got heat for that. Maryse cut a promo in French and Miz finished his great promo speaking a little bit of Italian to bury the fans. Ambrose got a big ovation. People were into the match, but it was a bit sloppy. Ambrose won to retain his title.
– Seth Rollins & Finn Balor defeated Samoa Joe & Bray Wyatt
The faces got the win to send everyone home happy.
