WWE Bismarck live results: Rollins & Reigns vs. Ziggler & McIntyre

– Bobby Lashley defeated Jinder Mahal (w/ Sunil Singh)

The crowd was really into this. Singh, who was wearing a neck brace, interfered a lot throughout the match. Lashley won after dodging a clothesline from Mahal that ended up hitting Singh.

– Bayley & Natalya defeated The Riott Squad (Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan)

As far as effort from the talent and crowd reaction, this was a pretty great match. I’d say it was the best of the night. Bayley was probably the most over person on the show. She was being cheered by everyone, gave away about six or seven different merch items, and gave hugs to about 10 little girls. If she was supposed to turn heel last week, it did not show at this event at all.

The Riott Squad started working over Natalya early on. Bayley kept trying to get the hot tag but was unsuccessful for about eight minutes. I thought that maybe Bayley would “snap” or have some type of anger issue and get disqualified or something, but she did end up eventually getting the hot tag to a huge pop and just squashed the Riott Squad until she got the pin on Morgan.

Natalya sold her knee during and after the match. Bayley took selfies and signed autographs for people after it was over.

– Matt Hardy defeated Mojo Rawley

Bray Wyatt wasn’t on the show. Aside from some “Delete” and “Twist of Fate” chants, the crowd was a lot quieter for this. Hardy won with the Twist of Fate but didn’t seem to have much range of motion here.

– Elias came out and played guitar for a long time before he said anything — he played for much longer than I’ve seen on TV. He then did a generic promo dissing the town.

– Braun Strowman & Bobby Roode defeated Elias & Baron Corbin

Five minutes of Elias and Corbin arguing about who would face Strowman first ended with Elias starting the match. Strowman got loud cheers and “Get these hands’ chants. He tossed Elias around a bit before tagging in Roode.

Elias and Corbin worked over Roode for five or six minutes before Strowman got the hot tag and ended up pinning Corbin.

– The Authors of Pain defeated Apollo Crews & Titus O’Neil and Heath Slater & Rhyno

Dana Brooke entered with Titus Worldwide but immediately went backstage after their entrance. The fans were really into Rhyno, doing a lot of “ECW” chants. They played on it pretty well and waited to tag in Rhyno until the very end.

Rhyno had a small hot tag but eventually missed a Gore on one of the AOP and they pinned him.

– Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss defeated Sasha Banks to retain her title

Banks had about a third of the cheers that Bayley did, and the crowd wasn’t too into this. It was a lot of Bliss just throwing Banks out of the ring for nine counts. After a couple of small comebacks from Banks, it ended with a quick roll-up where Bliss was pulling Banks’ tights.

Like with Bayley, there was no sign that Banks was a heel here. She was handing out merch before the match too.

– Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns defeated Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre

I thought almost everyone would be cheering Reigns in Bismarck, but he was booed by about 40 percent of the crowd. It was an incredibly slow-starting match. There were about 10 minutes of locks and holds to start, and I think everyone got a turn to have control of someone and bring them to the floor and back up again.

The chemistry between McIntyre and Reigns was great and they worked well together. Eventually, Ziggler and Mcintyre started working over Rollins. That built to Reigns getting a hot tag and a huge pop, followed by long boos. He went for his Superman Punch about 10 times and finally hit one on McIntyre, but he didn’t get the pin and Ziggler and McIntyre started working him over.

It ended with Rollins getting a tag and hitting the Curb Stomp on McIntyre for the win.
