– Finn Balor defeated Baron Corbin
Corbin was dressed in his full constable outfit and taunted the crowd. The match lasted a while with Corbin getting in just about all of the offense. Balor took a beating but got a roll-up victory out of nowhere.
Corbin then restarted the match with his constable powers and made it no DQ.
– Baron Corbin defeated Finn Balor in a no DQ match
Corbin got the jump on a still-ailing Balor, brought in a chair, and hit Balor with it. Corbin won with the End of Days and called us hillbillies.
– WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander defeated Buddy Murphy to retain his title
This match was below the caliber I expected from these guys. Alexander retained with the Lumbar Check.
– Bobby Roode & Chad Gable defeated Jinder Mahal & Mojo Rawley
To my surprise, this was a lot of fun. Rawley came out and taunted the audience but had “go away” heat here. Sunil Singh introduced Mahal, who’s imposing and has a really great entrance. Mahal got on the microphone and told Rawley he needs to be less hype and more like him. Mahal then had Rawley sit in the ring and meditate with him. Rawley was agitated and it was hilarious.
Gable took a beating the whole match and finally tagged in Roode. Roode hit the Glorious DDT to win. The crowd was really into Gable.
– Raw Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre defeated Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt and The B-Team (Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas) in a triple threat match to retain their titles
There was lots of love for the B-Team. The crowd was into Axel, who was really hamming it up. The B-Team got chants, and the audience chanted “Delete” as well.
Ziggler and McIntyre used their Zig-Zag/Claymore finisher for the win.
– Kevin Owens defeated Zack Ryder
Owens was great on the mic before the match. He told the crowd that his friend Sami Zayn had been in Birmingham for surgeries and that it was the worst town he’d ever been in. He then ripped on us a few more times.
The match was over pretty quickly, ending when Owens hit the pop-up powerbomb.
– Sasha Banks, Bayley, Ember Moon & Natalya defeated Alexa Bliss, Alicia Fox, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan
Dana Brooke was the special guest referee. Bliss played up that she was disinterested in the match, and Fox was talking trash to the crowd. Moon had the best pops.
Bayley took a beating for a while. Bliss got in the ring for one punch, tagged out, and that was her night. Moon got the win with The Eclipse.
– Universal Champion Roman Reigns defeated Braun Strowman by DQ
The crowd went bananas for Reigns, and Strowman had a lot of heat. They did some good back and forth. Strowman was tempted to crush Reigns’ skull between the steel steps, but the referee threatened to disqualify him. Shortly after that, Reigns hit multiple Superman punches. Reigns was lining up for a spear when Ziggler and McIntyre ran into the ring for the DQ.
Reigns was attacked for a while before The Shield’s music hit and Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose ran out. The Shield stood tall and Strowman stumbled to the back.
The Shield triple powerbombed Ziggler through a table, but it didn’t break. The crowd was electric and chanted for them to do it one more time over and over. McIntyre crawled into the ring to sacrifice himself, another table was brought in, and McIntyre was put through it. Really enjoyable show.
