WWE Anaheim live results: Ronda Rousey’s first US house show

– Bobby Lashley defeated Jinder Mahal (w/ Sunil Singh)
Lashley won with a delayed vertical suplex. The finish came when Singh jumped on the apron, Lashley grabbed him, and Mahal went after Lashley but missed and knocked Singh down.
– The B-Team (Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas) & Mojo Rawley defeated Breezango & No Way Jose
Rawley pinned Jose. They had a comedy match with lots of dancing and people teasing wearing Fandango’s hat.
– Apollo Crews defeated Mike Kanellis
Kanellis got on the mic and complained about not having an opponent. The match was over in about 20 seconds, but the crowd groaned when Crews came out.
– Braun Strowman, Finn Balor & Bobby Roode defeated Elias, Kevin Owens & Baron Corbin
Strowman got the pin on Owens. The crowd kept chanting that they wanted Strowman, but he only tagged in at the end and was in for about a minute. Corbin worked in his ridiculous new ring attire (dress shirt and pants).
– WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander defeated Kalisto to retain his title
Alexander retained with the Lumbar Check. They had the best match of the night and the crowd actually got into it. They were way more behind Kalisto, with lots of kids doing his “Lucha” chant. Kalisto’s mask also accidentally came off a few minutes in.
– Ronda Rousey, Sasha Banks, Bayley & Dana Brooke defeated Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss & The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan)
There was a huge pop for Rousey, who was wrestling at her first house show in the United States. Bliss sold being afraid of her by standing behind The Riott Squad at the beginning. The face team teased tagging Rousey in for most of the match, but they’d get cut off by the heels.
Rousey then came into the ring against Morgan at the seven-minute mark. After a few moves, the other heels came in until Banks helped clear the ring. Rousey took out Logan with strikes in the corner and put Morgan in the armbar for the submission. Bliss was running to the back while Morgan tapped.
The match went just over eight minutes, with Rousey in for the last 60 to 90 seconds. WWE explained on Twitter that she was able to wrestle at the show due to fulfilling her contractual obligations despite being suspended for 30 days in storyline.
– Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins defeated Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre
Rollins pinned Ziggler after the stomp. The top rope came undone about three minutes in when Rollins threw McIntyre outside. They continued working the match with all the ropes loose, not being able to do as many high spots. Rollins did come off the middle rope at one point. There was lots of stalling due to having to improvise so much.
Rollins spun some of the rope around as he celebrated after the match.
